The human body is a delicately balanced machine that is synergistic, everything working together to function in harmony. This is called homeostasis. Like a mechanic fine tuning a vehicle, constantly adjusting the engine parts until the vehicle runs perfectly. Even the smallest part in the engine not working at its peak, means the entire engine is out of tune, and will not work at maximum capacity.
Same for our body, balance needs to be maintained throughout all our body systems. When one body system is out of order, the effects are felt throughout all the body systems. You are out of (tune), balance.
