We have some EXCITING NEWS to share!

Castle Hill Diagnostics has recently doubled its size to accommodate our brand-new state-of-the-art MRI machine.

Now spanning across two modern facilities but from the same location, our vision was to create a practice that puts patient care, privacy and comfort front and centre and ensures our community has access to high quality imaging using the latest technology but at an affordable price. We believe our expansion is a further positive step toward this.

What's NEW? New MRI service, new Ultrasound equipment, better access, increased capacity, and generally an improved patient experience.

What's not NEW? Same location with the same dedicated team who have a strong commitment to delivering quality-centric and personalised care.

Did you know that if you are over 70, you may be eligible for a Medicare-funded DEXA bone mineral density scan?

DEXA is a simple, painless scan that measures bone mineral density. It is the standard way to check for osteoporosis and assess fracture risk. The scan takes about 10 to 15 minutes and uses a very low dose of radiation.

At Castle Hill Diagnostics, DEXA scans are bulk billed for patients who meet the Medicare-eligibility criteria. This means no out-of-pocket cost for eligible patients.

Osteoporosis often has no symptoms until a fracture occurs. A DEXA scan can help your GP understand your bone health and plan the right care for you.

Ask your GP or specialist for a request, and we will look after the rest.

Meet Dr Sandeep Tiwari, Clinical Director at Castle Hill Diagnostics.

Dr Sandeep is a specialist radiologist with expertise in musculoskeletal imaging, breast imaging, and interventional pain management. He is at our practice a minimum of four days a week, which means continuity of care for patients who need ongoing treatment.

If you live with chronic pain from osteoarthritis, a sports injury, or a spinal condition, Dr Sandeep can help. Our pain management services include:

- Euflexxa injections for knee osteoarthritis — a non-surgical treatment to improve joint function and reduce pain.
- Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) injections to accelerate healing of injured tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints.
- Spinal injections (anaesthetic and steroid) for back and neck pain.
- Image-guided joint and soft tissue injections.

All procedures are performed on-site at Castle Hill Diagnostics using our advanced imaging equipment for precision and safety.

You do not need to travel to a hospital or wait weeks for an appointment. Ask your GP or specialist for a referral, and we will look after you right here in your community.

Did you know that Castle Hill Diagnostics bulk bills most Medicare-eligible examinations?

That includes X-ray, CT, ultrasound, mammography, DEXA bone density scans, and even some interventional procedures like Euflexxa injections for knee osteoarthritis.

We believe that access to quality diagnostic imaging should not come down to what you can afford to pay out of pocket. As an independently owned practice, we have made the choice to keep most of our services bulk-billed for patients with a valid Medicare referral from their GP.

This International Women's Day, we want to introduce you to Dr Arunima (Aru) Gupta, one of our specialist radiologists here at Castle Hill Diagnostics.

Dr Aru has been with Castle Hill Diagnostics since 2019, bringing a wealth of experience, particularly with respect to head and neck imaging and cardiac (heart) CT.

At Castle Hill Diagnostics, we are proud to provide specialist women's imaging services to support the health needs of women in the Hills District.

Our Women's Imaging Suite is designed with privacy and comfort in mind, offering state-of-the-art 3D Mammography (with Digital Breast Tomosynthesis), breast, obstetric and gynaecological ultrasound, breast biopsies and aspirations and DEXA (for bone mineral density assessment).

We have a Breast Radiologist on-site every business day, offering early/same-day appointments with a quick turnaround and personalised service.

We are Castle Hill Diagnostics (CHD), and we are proud to be your local, independently owned diagnostic imaging (X-ray) practice right here in the Hills District.
