Many people think ADHD is only a childhood condition, but it can persist well into adulthood β€” and for some adults, it may never have been recognised in the first place. In thisblog, we explore what ADHD looks like in adults, why it’s often missed or misunderstood, and how a thorough assessment can bring clarity and relief. Adult ADHD isn’t just about being easily distracted β€” it can affect focus, organisation, emotional regulation, relationships, work performance, and more. Understanding these challenges is an important step toward making positive changes and accessing the right support.

If you’ve ever struggled with focus, time management, restlessness, or relationship difficulties and wondered why, this blog could help you make sense of your experiences and learn about the diagnostic process and support options available.

πŸ€–βœ¨ Curious about AI & Mental Health? Our latest blog just dropped, and it’s a must-read.

With AI tools becoming more common, many of us wonder:

Can they help with stress, mood, or wellbeing?
Are they safe to use alongside therapy?
What should we watch out for?

At Sydney Psych Hub, we explore all this and more in our new blog: β€œAI in Psychology: What It Means for You β€” and How to Use It Safely.” We dive into how AI can support wellbeing, the real benefits, the risks, and practical tips to get the most out of these tools, without losing the human connection that matters.

🌿 We’re so proud of our team member, Vera!

Last week, Vera had the incredible honour of speaking on a panel at the Neurodivergent Minds Conference 2025 in the Sunshine Coast, QLD. She joined an inspiring group of speakers β€” Alana Cameron, Tahlia-Rose Vanissum, and Selah Dimech β€” to explore what it truly means to live authentically as neurodivergent individuals and what meaningful support in daily life can look like.

Vera shared her reflections on embracing authenticity, unlearning who she was told she should be, and reconnecting with who she truly is β€” not just through achievement, but through joy, connection, and self-acceptance. πŸ’›

We’re so grateful to have Vera as part of our team at Sydney Psych Hub, bringing her authenticity, compassion, and insight into her work every day.

✨ Wajma shared her expertise on Family Therapy, highlighting the importance of strengthening relationships and fostering healthier family dynamics.

We’re proud to see our team contributing to the ongoing education of GPs and supporting collaborative care for families in our community. πŸ’™
