πŸ‘£ Reminder to book your November - January appointments πŸ‘£

We are a small, but busy, Podiatry clinic, and our diaries tend to fill quickly at this time of year. We appreciate how frustrating it can be to not get an appointment promptly, so please do phone to book in as soon as possible.

If you wear orthotics, remember that your private health benefits finish in December, if you'd like to take advantage of any remaining allowance.
Alternatively, if you want orthotics early in the new year once benefits reset, we'd advise booking in for January now.

πŸ‘£ Corns πŸ‘£

A corn is a small, circular, hardened patch of skin on the foot, arising from repeated pressure or friction. These thickenings of keratin act as a defense mechanism to protect the skin, but can become painful.
Removing corns involves the debridement of the hard skin, as well as removing the small, central nucleus with a scalpel.
The relief is generally immediate!

Corn removal is standard as part of a general treatment at Free Your Feet Podiatry. Give us a ring to book in with or .

πŸ‘£ It's National Diabetes Week 2025 πŸ‘£

Many patients are unaware that a diabetes diagnosis can mean an increased risk to their feet. Poor circulation, loss of sensation, and nerve damage can occur in patients living with diabetes. A relatively minor injury can ulcerate, not because of poor foot care, but simply because the loss of sensation means a patient is unaware of a small injury to their foot.

The good news is that regular diabetic and neurovascular foot checks - recommended at least annually - as well as routine podiatry appointments every 2-3 months, can remove a great deal of this risk.
If you are diabetic, book in with us now.
And remember to check your feet regularly! πŸ˜ƒ
