In San Diego today, people are celebrating Slow Fashion Day. Let's make it happen around the world. The 9th of November is Slow Fashion Day. Let's get mending, repairing and upcycling, rather than buying new.

This regal beauty came in a few weeks ago, a reupholstered chair, covered with an old mattress. Lisa has done such a great job of this chair. She's also very generously offered it up for sale, with all profits going to the op shop!

We've been having a little holiday in Japan that isn't feeling little at all! So many trains, steps, 7-Elevens, mochi's and beautiful autumn leaves. For a population of 124 million, there's a lot going on over here. Fashion culture is strong, secondhand is on the rise, but needs to be more. I think we need a holiday from ourselves to come back to Castlemaine next week!

Does anyone have any use for old, ripped, stained, crinkled jeans? There is so much great material in these bad boys, it seems a crime to send them overseas for whatever they do with them. If you'd like to make a gold coin donation, we'll happily give you a few pairs.
