Redgate Artspace Melinda runs holiday art workshops with the focus on relief printing methods and general art classes in painting, printmaking, drawing and collage.

Art for Wellbeing term classes | Pop-up workshops | Holiday programs | Art tutoring | Community Arts engagement | Neurodiversity affirming Redgate Artspace is the studio of professional artist and teacher Melinda Jane in Castlemaine, on Dja Dja Wurrung country, Victoria, where she creates her own artwork and shares art-making for wellbeing classes with children and young people. The focus is on offering art-making and nature-based wellbeing activities exploring different modalities and engaging with creative process with others and the natural world, in fun and experimental ways. She is also available for private tuition, art exploration sessions + folio preparation for VCE Art and Design students. Our workshops are run by fully vaccinated practicing artist + registered teacher, Melinda Jane, who work in a variety of mediums. Melinda holds a current Working with Children Check, because we think everyone deserves to feel safe and happy when they make art. Redgate Artspace is a welcoming space for everyone. Cancellation Policy:
{If you should need to cancel within 3 days of a workshop, you will receive a 50% refund. There is no refund if you cancel on the day. If the workshop is cancelled by me, you will receive a full refund.}

ONE FOR THE ADULTS! I have a wonderful creative offering for those interested in gelli-plate printmaking, coming up this month. Discover the therapeutic art of gelli printing in this intimate 6-hour workshop . Learn layering, textures, patterns, magazine transfer, oil resist techniques, and create your own simple concertina book. No experience necessary - just bring your curiosity and openness to creative discovery.
Through emergent, playful exploration with natural materials, music, and gentle art therapy guidance, you'll create many unique prints while connecting with nature's rhythms and your own creative voice.
All materials are supplied. Bring a journal if you have one.
