Clear individualised programming, qualified technique coaching, and constant supervision are the pillars of consistent, predictable results...be it in the realms of health, rehabilitation or ageing well.

NEVER TOO LATE PROGRAM
It’s never too late to become stronger. Even if you’ve not exercised in years (or hate the gym!), our Never Too Late Program is specifically tailored to your individual needs and will have you moving better and feeling stronger in no time. These small closed group sessions are especially suited to those with age related significant muscle loss, recovery from illness, during/post cancer treatment, or have physical disabilities. Not only will you gain strength, you’ll also gain new friendships and a real sense of community and belonging.

​GENERAL STRENGTH SESSIONS
General Strength sessions include members from all age groups, including graduates of the Never Too Late Program. All sessions are fully supervised and include personalised coaching in a group environment. Members attend two sessions per week, which provides optimum results with sufficient recovery between sessions.

​WOMEN'S SESSIONS
These sessions are a safe space for the growing community of women who want to feel strong and energised. Heavy weight training has the effect of elevating moods through serotonin stimulation. It is great for increasing metabolism through building lean body tissue, as well as regulating hormones. Postmenopausal women use these sessions to improve bone density. It's a great space for a chat & laugh too.

Meet the team at Real Strength 👋
From left to right: Therese, Daniel, Bek, Claire & Aimee.

We’re the coaches and support team— here to help you feel stronger, more confident, and supported every step of the way.

Real Strength isn’t a typical gym. We don’t do mirrors, crowds, confusing machines, or leave you to figure things out on your own!

All our sessions are small, welcoming, and fully supervised by a coach. We take the time to get to know you and tailor everything to your needs — whether you’re completely new to strength training or have done a bit before.

We’re all certified Powerlifting Coaches registered with Powerlifting Australia, with years of experience between us, working with people of all ages — including many in their 50s, 60s, 70s and beyond.

Our focus is on building strength that’s useful in everyday life — whether it’s keeping up with the grandkids, doing the gardening, or just moving with more ease and confidence. And we do it all safely, with good technique, and at a pace that suits you.

How’s this for real strength?! 💪 shoutout to our members Pip & Andrew, who built an entire retaining wall by themselves! “We picked up and moved (with a wagon) 15 small sleepers and 6 large sleepers. Small ones were 76kg, and the big ones? 96kg!” 😲👏
This is exactly what we love to see — strength that actually makes life easier. Training at Real Strength isn’t just about what you can lift in the gym… it’s about feeling strong, capable, and confident tackling the stuff that matters most outside of it!
