Nature, mindfulness, time out, time to breathe, connection... We all need these things, but sometimes we forget to access them. I know I forget to access them! I often have to remind myself to go for a walk, smell the roses, feel the tree bark.

When I remember to do these things it helps me to ground, to feel, and to cope with life in the city more graciously. It's a mindfulness method that works for me, works for people that may find it hard to meditate. The silent walking and nature engagement really help.

There is something very powerful about connecting with nature in a group of fellow humans. The space becomes deeper, the sense of presence and connection more tangible... I love this experience and I want to share it with others (and hope they will pass the message on, like a ripple effect)

So, I've developed an amazing interactive event called Wild Vacancies that helps remind people of these innate tools to inner peace. We have our premiere season coming up at Melbourne Fringe in September! I really want to reach more people, I want the show to be accessible, I want people to know about this process and how connecting with nature can help!

We have launched a crowdfunding campaign to help make this show the best it can be. Please support us to take Wild Vacancies to the people who need it. Any pledges are welcome, no matter how large or small. If you are in Melbourne, there are exclusive preview tickets so you can be part of Wild Vacancies before the Fringe season starts. Children with difficulty singing can be labelled as 'nonmusical' by parents, teachers and pop culture. This toxic idea of 'talent' can deprive people of music's benefits for the rest of their lives.

If you are in Melbourne and interested in having 3-4 private voice sessions with me over the next few weeks... Please call or text me ASAP on 0402289202. I've had someone suddenly pull out of my teaching practicum for VCA. Sessions will be daytimes at VCA in Southbank at mutually agreeable times, other locations negotiable. I am looking for someone that has particular vocal needs in relation to spoken voice (not singing). Please give me a call, we can talk about your aims and how I can help you. I will choose participants based on my assessment criteria. Must be finalised by Thursday morning. I've been teaching voice for 7 years - this postgrad study is adding to my toolkit. It's an amazing opportunity to work with me for free and uncover your vocal patterns. �
