“Osteopathy and Mental Health: New Research”

“Did you know manual therapy may also support mental wellbeing? Here’s a recent trial showing promising findings. If you’ve got stress + neck/back tension, we can help.”

A 2024 feasibility trial published in the Chiropractic & Manual Therapies Journal found that osteopathic manual therapy may improve mild to moderate mental health symptoms such as stress, anxiety, and sleep disturbance.

At Healthy Being Osteopathy, we see how physical tension and emotional stress are deeply connected. Gentle, hands-on treatment can help release the body’s stress responses and restore balance.

Lung health awareness & spring allergy season.

🌬 Good posture = better breathing.

Many people don’t realise that tightness through the upper back and ribs can limit how deeply you breathe. Osteopathic treatment helps free up your chest and thoracic spine — so your lungs can expand fully.

Raise awareness for men’s physical and mental health.

👨‍🦱 It’s Movember – time to focus on men’s health, from physical wellbeing to mental strength.

At Healthy Being Osteopathy, we see so many men who wait until pain stops them before seeking care. Regular check-ins, movement assessments, and body maintenance can prevent long-term problems — and help you feel stronger, calmer, and more in control.

Many people wonder what osteopathy truly involves and how it can benefit their health and wellbeing. Osteopathy is a holistic approach to healthcare that focuses on treating the body as a whole unit rather than addressing isolated symptoms.

At Healthy Being Osteopathy, we utilize various techniques including soft tissue manipulation, joint mobilisation, and cranial osteopathy to help restore your body's natural balance. Our approach considers how different body systems work together to support your overall health.

Whether you are experiencing discomfort from daily activities, recovering from an injury, or seeking preventive care, osteopathic treatment can be tailored to meet your individual needs. We believe in empowering our patients with knowledge about their health journey.

What questions do you have about osteopathic care and how it might support your wellness goals?
