Bicep Curl + Shoulder Press is a powerful combo for building strength and stability in the upper body.

It’s more than just an arm and shoulder exercise. This movement improves how you lift, carry, and control weight in everyday tasks — from groceries to gym gear.

You’ll strengthen your biceps, deltoids, and stabilisers while improving coordination and core control.

See it in action on the second slide 👀

Strong, steady, and functional. Exactly how training should feel!

Pain can sometimes last longer than the injury that caused it. Not because something’s still damaged, but because your nervous system stays on alert. It’s your brain’s way of protecting you, even when it doesn’t need to.

Our team uses movement, gradual loading, and education to help calm that system down — retraining your body and brain to trust movement again.

Over time, pain fades, confidence returns, and movement feels natural once more 🌱

Supporting our athletes from the sidelines ⚽️

Physio Strong’s very own Taryn joined the Great Southern Soccer Association at the first-ever Senior Country Week, supporting players with on-ground physio care and taping throughout the weekend 🙌

It was an incredible few days of football, teamwork, and community spirit with every player giving their all and proudly representing the Great Southern in green and gold 💚💛

We’re proud to have been part of the action, helping athletes stay strong, recover fast, and keep doing what they love most 💕

Lat pulldowns aren’t just about gym gains, they build strength you use every day. 💪

They primarily target your latissimus dorsi (the large back muscles), while also working your biceps, traps, rhomboids, and shoulders.

That translates to real-life strength:
✅ Carrying heavy shopping bags
✅ Reaching, pulling, and lifting with ease
✅ Sitting taller with better posture
✅ Moving better in sports and outdoor activities

A stronger back makes everything feel lighter—and makes you stronger overall.

Neck and shoulder tightness is one of the most common issues people face — and it’s rarely just about the muscles.

The real cause is often a mix of stress, posture habits, and weakness in deeper stabilising muscles.

The good news? With the right treatment plan, you can ease the tension, restore balance, and feel more in control of your body again.

Think of your pelvic floor as the body’s hidden foundation 🏗

It quietly supports your bladder, bowel, and reproductive organs while helping you stay stable through everyday movement. When these muscles are weak, it can lead to issues like leakage, pain, or reduced stability.

The best part? These muscles can be strengthened with simple exercises—at any stage of life, for both men and women.

👉 If you’re unsure about your pelvic floor health, our team can assess your needs and guide you with tailored support.

✨ Last week our Mum’s Club welcomed special guest Katie Stan-Bishop, APA Titled Pelvic Health Physiotherapist.

She shared her expertise on pelvic health, recovery, and the realities of returning to strength and exercise after having a baby. The room was filled with great questions, open conversations, and plenty of “aha” moments.

Start ‘em young—by starting with you 💪 When parents prioritise their own health and fitness, it means more energy for playtime, more stamina for adventures, and a lasting example of what strong, active living looks like.

We’re grateful to Katie for joining us and to all the amazing mums who continue to make Mum’s Club such a supportive, empowering community. 💜

Is pain always a bad thing? Not necessarily.

Pain is your body’s alarm system — designed to get your attention. But like any alarm, it isn’t always accurate. Sometimes pain is a true warning that something needs care. Other times, it’s more of a “false alarm,” where your nervous system has become sensitive and is sending signals even when no real damage is present.

The challenge is knowing which is which. That’s where we come in. At Physio Strong Albany, we help you understand what your pain is really telling you. Instead of avoiding movement out of fear, we guide you in safe, progressive ways to move with strength and confidence.

Because long-term health isn’t just about reducing pain, it’s about trusting your body, rebuilding resilience, and getting back to the activities that make life meaningful.

Physiotherapy is more than recovery, it’s about building strength, improving movement, and keeping our bodies doing the things we love most.

Today we celebrate the impact of physio in helping people train harder, recover faster, and live pain-free.

A huge thank you to all physios who put in the time, knowledge, and care to guide us through injuries, challenges, and progress.

Happy World Physiotherapy Day! 💕

Ever noticed your shoulders creep up to your ears when you’re stressed? 👀

Stress doesn’t just weigh on your mind — it can weigh on your body too. 💭➡️💢

From tight shoulders to headaches, stress can create a cycle where pain fuels stress, and stress fuels pain.

The good news? With the right advice and support, you can break the loop and feel lighter, stronger, and more in control again.

That post-workout ache is often just DOMS (Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness) — a normal sign your muscles are adapting. But when does “good sore” turn into something more serious?

💪 DOMS usually:
• Peaks 24–72 hours after exercise
• Feels dull and achy
• Improves with light movement
• Fades in 2–3 days

⚠️ Possible injury signs:
• Sharp, stabbing, or worsening pain
• Swelling, bruising, or loss of function
• Pain that disrupts sleep or daily life

When in doubt, it’s best to check in with our team for early advice — so you can stay safe, recover well, and keep training strong.
