The festive celebrations continued at Scalabrini’s residential care sites and Scalabrini Austral truly shone. 🎄

Residents, families and members of the wider community came together for a heart warming evening filled with music, performances, and meaningful moments of connection.

We were delighted to welcome an incredible line-up of local performers and supporters:
- Children from Annabelle Child Care Centre with a special performance in Italian,
- The Stage Door Performing Arts students bringing the energy with dance (from preschool to school-aged performers),
- Christ the Good Shepherd Church children’s choir filling the arena with festive carols and sharing small gifts with residents,
- Inspire Church youth group lending a hand with the BBQ and food service,
- The OZFIL Dancers, a vibrant group of senior performers.

A special thank you to Nathan Hagarty MP, Member for Leppington, for joining us to celebrate the season and the strong community spirit that makes Scalabrini feel like home. 🌟

Last Friday, we came together at our Harbourside site for finale to celebrate our Head Office and Sydney Village Leadership Teams at our Christmas Party for a successful year. The atmosphere was nothing short of magical. 🎄

We shared meaningful conversations, Christmas photos, delicious food and desserts with refreshing drinks. And to top it all off, our CEO dressed up as secret Santa along with CFO and Former-Director of Property as Elves who absolutely blew us away. 🎅

A big thank you to the wonderful PLC team at Scalabrini for helping create such a special experience for everyone.

Here’s to finishing the year strong and stepping into the new year with purpose, joy and connection. Wishing everyone a safe and joyful holiday season! 🌟

We’re proud to announce our expansion into South Australia through the integration of the Society of Saint Hilarion, our mission led care goes beyond NSW for the very first time, to provide dignity, belonging and culturally aware care to more older Australians. We are honoured to carry forward Saint Hilarion’s legacy, uphold its heritage, and continue serving the South Australian community with the compassion and respect it deserves. Following the tragic loss of so many lives at Bondi Beach yesterday, Scalabrini Communities holds up in our prayers and thoughts all those who have lost loved ones and for those who are injured.

The festival of Hannukah commemorates the return of Jewish freedom and religious ritual and the re-dedication of the Temple after its desecration and the miracle of the single jar of oil that allowed the candles to burn for eight days during that dedication. At its heart, it celebrates resilience in the face of adversity, faithfulness to God and the miracle of light that casts away the darkness.

Let us all be the light in our world that keeps the darkness of evil and hate at bay and may we find comfort in our shared scripture with our Jewish brothers and sisters in Joshua 1:9

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”

For almost three years now, our Scalabrini Allambie Heights residents have been rolling up their sleeves once a month to cook homemade meals for people doing it tough through our friends at One Meal - Northern Beaches.

This week’s gathering was extra special. It was our final cookup and delivery for the year. Together, around a dozen residents planned the menu, chopped, stirred and taste-tested their way to 50 hearty serves of classic meatball dish and bruschetta, before the meals were delivered to One Meal in Brookvale.

What started as a simple kitchen activity has become a beautiful tradition of giving back, connection and purpose — reminding us that it’s never too late to make a difference in someone’s day. 👨‍🍳

Thank you to One Meal for all they do in our local community, and to our wonderful residents, volunteers and our wellbeing team at Allambie Heights for cooking with so much love. ✨

Our Scalabrini Annual Report 2025 is here! 🧡

Over the past year we’ve continued to serve with love, dignity and purpose – from launching our new Belong Programme in our villages, to growing Live Easy by Scalabrini (Support at Home) by Scalabrini and Live Easy Social so more older adults can stay connected, social and supported.
