🏉 As the Women’s Rugby World Cup heats up in England, it’s time to talk about something that plays a huge role in performance but rarely gets the spotlight: pelvic floor health. 💪✨
Whether you’re sprinting, tackling, scrummaging or jumping, your pelvic floor muscles are working hard behind the scenes. And yet, up to 75% of athletes may experience symptoms like leakage, often in silence. 😶
That’s why World Rugby is helping break the stigma by promoting:
✅ Pelvic floor training for strength & endurance
✅ Education for coaches & support staff
✅ Support for mums returning post-birth
✅ Awareness of symptoms like incontinence, pressure or pain
Pelvic health affects performance, confidence and overall wellbeing. It’s time we made it part of the conversation in sport. 🗣️
