Heidi takes on the East Coast! ☀️ Our Sydney NSW and Brisbane North QLD teams recently had a visit from our Managing Director, Heidi! 👋

What has been happening in those teams?

Our Brisbane North team recently moved into their new office space in Kallangur 👌 Heidi got to check it out and see how the team are settling in!

🦇 Bat on a string! 🦇 Halloween is creeping near, and we have a fun activity you can try at home with your family!

Why this activity is engaging! 👌
Blowing into a cup with a straw, or playing games like moving cups by blowing air, aids regulation by promoting deep, slow breathing which activates the body's calming response.
This activity also strengthens oral motor muscles used for speech and eating, and requires focus and attention, helping to shift a person away from big feelings and toward a calming strategy that is also fun.

This activity can use used all year round with just a plain cup, or you can theme it for fun occasions like Christmas, summer holidays, Easter + more!

OT Client Win!! 👏 Our fantastic OT, Sera, recently assisted a client to be approved for over $50,000 of Assistive Technology (AT) equipment!

This client had been declined for AT products multiple times, however, Sera was determined to continue advocating for her client and submitted a Functional Capacity Assessment indicating the need for a wheelchair. This resulted in a Physiotherapist calling her from the NDIS who was assigned as an AT advisor.

Following a 15-minute chat with Sera, the AT Advisor approved over $50,000 of equipment including the previously declined AT products 👏 What a fantastic outcome for the client!

Our passionate OTs like Sera work hard to ensure their clients can achieve their goals with the equipment and resources required for them to participate in the activities that are meaningful to them.
