🌱 400 CLUB 🌱
A big celebration for Ann, who has reached 400 sessions at Rella’s. What an amazing milestone.

Ann has been training with me since before Rella’s even opened, and while our journey started long before these 400 sessions, this is still something very special to celebrate.

As a grandparent of three, Ann knows that staying strong and active is about so much more than exercise. It is about being able to get up and down from the floor, lift prams, help with the grandkids, and keep up with life.

That is what we do at Rella’s. We train for real life, for independence, and for longevity. Not just for appearance.
Ann, thank you for trusting me with your health and wellness. You are a beautiful role model to your grandchildren and to everyone around you. I always love our sessions, chats, and laughs at Freddy’s expense.
Ann always leave feeling better than when you arrived, and that is what it is all about. 💚

🌱 300 SESSION CLUB 🌱
There is something really special about celebrating milestones like this, because they are never just about a number.
They are about courage, resilience, and quietly choosing to keep showing up, even when things have felt hard.
Lisa’s journey has been exactly that.
Over the past few years, she has faced severe back pain, setbacks, and the little niggles that can come with getting back to doing the things you love. But through it all, Lisa has kept moving forward. She has trusted the process, allowed herself to be supported, and continued to show up for herself time and time again.
That is what makes this milestone so meaningful.
Lisa knows that when life throws in a hurdle, she does not have to stop. With guidance, support, and collaboration with her allied health team, we always look for a way to keep her moving and working toward the life she wants to live.
This is why I love what I do.
Helping people rebuild trust in their body, find freedom through movement, and rediscover what is possible is something I never take for granted.
Lisa, I am so incredibly proud of you. 💚

Here’s to 300 sessions, and to all the adventures, strength, and confidence still to come.

Every Body deserves the chance to move

Easter Monday was all about one of our long-term group members, Simon, so we had some fun celebrating with a balloon and our all-famous dice session.

Moving doesn’t always need to be hard, but it can be fun to elevate the heart rate and endorphins.

Happy Birthday, Simon. What a gift you gave yourself for your birthday

🌱100 Club🌱
Emma is one of my beautiful NDIS clients.
She first came to me almost two years ago, and since then we have been working on her movement to build her confidence in everyday activities.
We always have plenty of great chats about life, but what I love most is Emma’s genuine interest in understanding why we do certain exercises. To my absolute delight, she came in one day and told me she had been doing her exercises at home using some weights she already had. That was music to my ears. Knowing I have inspired her to work on her health outside of our sessions is incredibly rewarding.
No two sessions are ever quite the same, because we always work with how Emma is feeling on the day. Like all of us, some days the body simply says no. On those days, we bring in some fun, movement-based activities that still keep her active and make us laugh, like keeping off Freddy with a game of badminton, because he loves to chase and chew the shuttlecock.
We also share a love of dogs, especially Cavaliers.
Congratulations, Emma. I am so proud of your journey. You are well on your way to the 200 Club.💚

Over the weekend, I spent 2 days at the Fitness Expo.

An interesting space to be in. Filled with so many different types of pre-workout and post-workout supplements, all claiming different benefits. Reading the ingredients on some products, I was thinking about how these are even legal to sell, and certainly shouldn't be sold as wellness products.

I am an athlete. While competing internationally, I may be selected for drug testing, so I don't take anything that isn't batch-tested for safety.

This article was an interesting read on the damage that all these so-called magic potions are creating to people's livers, and the increased rate of liver transplant is mindblowing.

In recent years, supplements have gone from niche health trend to household staple. These days, more than half of American adults pop some kind of pill, powder, or gummy in hopes of boosting mood, metabolism, muscle mass—or just general well-being. TikTok influencers swear by berberine for a faste...

Power Plate is our most-used piece of equipment at Rella’s. ⚡️
Not because it’s trendy, but because members ask for it and it delivers, especially for people training for longevity.

Why we love it:
✅ Fast muscle “switch on” for better movement quality
✅ Strength support without needing to go brutally heavy
✅ Circulation + fluid flow that helps the body feel lighter and less stiff
✅ Recovery tool when you need a kinder stimulus
✅ Balance + coordination (and that matters a lot)
🦴 Bone health, too: Whole-body vibration has been studied using DEXA scans, and while results vary person to person, research suggests it can be a helpful add-on for supporting bone density over time, especially when paired with smart strength training.
FUN FACT: Power Plate was designed for Astronauts on their return to earth to help increase their bone density.

And here’s the big-picture piece:
For bone strength, impact and loading matter. Things like brisk walking, dancing, jumping (when appropriate), and progressive strength work all send the “stay strong” message to bone. Power Plate can be a supportive bridge, particularly for people who can’t tolerate high impact right now.
This is especially useful through peri and post-menopause, when bone, muscle and recovery can change. You don’t need to “lift heavy sh*t” to train effectively. You need the right stimulus, progressed safely, for your body and your season of life.

Meaghan: “I loved that session. It was AWESOME.” 🙌💚

💚 International Women’s Day 💚

Women make up 51% of the population, and yet so many of our lived experiences are still whispered about instead of spoken about.
So today, let’s celebrate women, and let’s also start a conversation that shouldn’t be taboo anymore: MENOPAUSE.

Because menopause doesn’t just affect a woman’s body, it can affect sleep, energy, confidence, mood, memory, recovery, and how she feels day to day. It can affect relationships and families too, and the people who love her often don’t know what’s happening; they just know she’s “not herself”.

Let’s change that.
Let’s make the conversation normal.
Let’s replace judgment with education.
Let’s replace “just push through” with empathy.
And let’s let women say, “This is hard,” without feeling embarrassed, dramatic, or alone.
Even when we don’t fully understand what our bodies are doing, we can still meet ourselves with compassion and support each other better.
Today, celebrate the women in your life.

Imagine how many relationships could be supported, and how many lives could be changed, through education, empathy, and honest conversations.

My name is Cindy Rella, and I am a post-menopausal woman also navigating and celebrating this transition into being a Queenager👸

💚 If you’re navigating peri/post, or you’re a partner wanting to understand, reach out. Let’s start the conversation, and I’ll guide you toward the right support for health and happiness. You dont need to go through this alone.

🍃200 SESSION CLUB 🍃

Robyn has been with us for just over two years now, and she’s one of those rock-solid small group members who shows up, gets it done, and somehow lifts the whole room while she’s at it.

When Robyn first came to Rella’s, she quickly realised our training style was a little different to what she’d been used to. There was nothing “wrong” with what she was doing at all, it’s given her such a great base, we’ve simply added more movement variety and purpose so her body stays capable for longer, making sure it doesn’t break down. Just another piece of the puzzle that helps complete the whole picture of sustainable human movement.

Robyn is a go-getter at the young age of 68. She’s an active grandparent, she’s about to walk one of her daughters down the aisle, and she brings a spark to every session. She’s helped create a fun, supportive vibe in her group and honestly, she shows no signs of slowing down.

Keep being an inspiration, Robyn. The fur coaches and I absolutely adore having you in our sessions.

Fun fact: Robyn and I did the first Tough Mudder together in 2012

💚Welcome to the 200 Session Club. We’re so proud of you.

Menopause isn't just "a woman thing".
It affects sleep, energy, confidence, and relationships, too.
I've just added Menopause Training Matrix™ to my toolbox because menopause matters.
Menopause deserves more open conversation, education, and support, for men too. Because it doesn't just affect women; it affects households, training partners, mood, recovery, and how you feel in your own body.

I know this because I'm post-menopausal at 53. I'm still an athlete, still competing internationally, and honestly, this transition has been a rough journey.
The "Why does this feel harder?"
The "I don't recognise my body today."
Brain fog one minute, then the tropical moments that sneak up on you. 🥵
And then there's the anxiety and mood swings over things that normally wouldn't matter. It can feel debilitating, leaving you wondering, 'What has happened to me?' Or your partner thinking, what's happened to the person I love?

That's why at Rella's:
✅ We're not a women-only studio
✅ We're a studio that champions menopause
✅ And we have the conversation with every woman and man, because understanding creates better support at home, in training, and in life.
MTM is symptom-led training, so instead of guessing, we coach what's showing up for you.

💚 Our Movement Project starts in March, built for real bodies, real life, and movement that lasts.

Happy Lunar New Year 🧧✨

This New Year, I’m calling in the power of the horse. 🐴

Not the loud kind of strength. The real kind.
The kind that’s built through steady steps, calm focus, and showing up even when no one’s watching.

The horse reminds us what it looks like to move through life with:

Strength that’s grounded

Power that’s controlled

Freedom that’s earned through trust, not rush

Loyalty to the path, one stride at a time

At Rella’s, that’s our kind of energy.
We’re not here for quick fixes or perfection. We’re here to rebuild trust in the body, to move with purpose, and to keep growing forward, season after season.

So if you’re stepping into this year carrying old stories, old doubts, old “I used to…”
Let them fall away.

Stand tall. Breathe deep. Find your rhythm.
Then take the next step.

Wishing you a New Year filled with strength, momentum, and movement that lasts.
Every BODY deserves the chance to MOVE. ❤️
