Menopause is more than a biological transition; it’s a human experience that affects relationships, connection, and community.
As a post-menopausal woman, athlete, and coach, I’ve experienced firsthand how powerful and challenging this transition can be.
Navigating menopause without HRT has been an eye-opener. It’s taught me the importance of exploring adaptogens, lifestyle medicine, movement, and mindset to support not just physical health, but emotional and relational wellbeing too.

💬 When partners, friends, and communities talk openly, transitions become easier.

💞 When men understand menopause and women feel safe to share, we build stronger, more compassionate relationships.

🙌 And when connection replaces silence, we not only improve health outcomes, but we might save relationships.

Healthy relationships are more than emotional; they’re medicine. They support heart, bone, and mental health, reduce symptoms, and help women thrive throughout and beyond menopause.
Menopause deserves to be celebrated, not feared, with open conversation, shared understanding, and holistic support for both women and men.

As a coach, it was vital to complete menopausal education so I could better understand myself and support my clients through this stage of life. Every woman’s journey is different, and with so much noise and misinformation out there, guidance matters.

🏑 Active Ageing Week: Meet Greg 🏌️‍♂️

Meet Greg, a shining example of what active ageing truly looks like. Greg is just a few sleeps away from turning 70 at the end of this year, and he shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

Last week, Greg returned as a National Champion, playing in the Over-70s Hockey Team. When he’s not on the field, you’ll find him out on the golf course, refining his swing and staying strong, mobile, and connected.

Greg reminds us that it’s never about Age, it’s about attitude and movement. The more we move, the more we keep our bodies capable and our minds sharp.

When was the last time you checked the credentials of a fitness professional before engaging their services?

I've made the mistake of hiring a professional for personal use, only to find out they're not registered, insured, or up to date with their education. This was a very expensive mistake, as I couldn't get my money back. You would be surprised just how many in the Fitness industry have no insurance, first aid, or even registered with a fitness body.

Rella's has been a proud registered professional with FITREC.org Fitness Registration for a very long time.

We have also recently become registered with another for our clients' benefits with Health funds.

We care for our clients health and wellness and put you first.

I always encourage my members to check credentials. If they are registered, they will have a link.

A key benefit of registration is the ability to confirm details online. ✅

This avoids any confusion surrounding whether a registration is current and also provides immediate insight into the professional's background.

EVEN THOSE WITH CERTIFICATES should be checked. For this reason, all FITREC certificates include a link to the relevant profile. Why would this be necessary? Registration may have been cancelled, either by the individual or by FITREC. It doesn't happen often, but it is worth a single click on a PDF to check.

It's all about building a more transparent and accountable industry. 😊

Meet Phoebe, an active grandparent and avid hockey player with two knee replacements.
Alongside Pheobe in this photo are other incredible women, with full knee replacements, and their hockey coach, who has had a hip replacement herself. 💪
These women are living proof that movement doesn't have an expiry date.
Joint replacements aren't the end of an active life; they're often the start of a new chapter.
