How Recognising Patterns Can Change Your Life? There is a moment when life stops feeling random.

The same situation keeps returning. The same feeling arrives in different rooms. The same cycle — hope, effort, collapse, repeat — plays itself out with such consistency that it can no longer be called coincidence.Pattern recognition is not just psychological — it is biological.

The body constantly scans for cues of safety and threat. It does not operate primarily through logic, but through recognition. It compares present experiences with past ones and responds accordingly.

Much of this happens below conscious awareness.

Frameworks such as polyvagal theory show that our responses are often driven by autonomic nervous system states — not deliberate decisions. The body detects patterns and activates familiar responses: connection, fight, flight, or shutdown. You cannot change what you cannot see.

The moment a pattern becomes visible, something shifts.

You move from being inside it to observing it.One of the most powerful ways to recognise patterns is through structure.

Sacred geometry offers a direct, non-verbal experience of order.

Working with circles, symmetry, and repetition creates coherence in the system. When you engage with geometry, you are not just drawing.

You are interacting with fundamental patterns of organisation.

And within that structure, something becomes visible:

Your own internal patterns. Full article here;https://www.activekreative.com/blog/recognising-patterns

If you’ve ever felt like the same situations keep happening in different forms — in relationships, work, or within yourself — you’re not imagining it.
You’re noticing patterns.
And learning to recognise them is one of the most powerful shifts you can make for your emotional wellbeing, self-awareness, and personal transformation.
Most people spend years understanding their patterns in their head — and wondering why nothing shifts.
Because patterns don't live in the mind.
They live in the body. In the nervous system. In the unconscious stories we keep replaying.
That's why the Active Kreative® Method works with art, sacred geometry, neurographic drawing, and somatic practice — not just conversation.
We work at the level where the pattern actually lives.
I've written a deep guide: How Recognising Patterns Can Change Your Life.
It covers what patterns are, why they form, and six embodied practices to start seeing yours clearly.

The crack was never the problem. It was always the beginning. Your wounds and your gifts are the same thread. The suffering you carried, met with awareness, becomes the gold of your soul's evolution. There is a story most of us carry without realising it. I was whole. Something broke me. Now I must work to become whole again. It sounds like healing, but underneath it runs a quiet wound of its own. The belief that the crack is the problem. When a ceramic breaks in the kintsugi tradition, the artisan fills the fracture with gold. The break is not hidden,it is made visible, luminous, real. The object does not return to its original form. It becomes something more true. More itself. More beautiful because of what it has carried, not in spite of it.
This is the reframe that changes everything. The crack is not failure. The crack is where the light enters. We live in a culture that treats rupture as a problem to solve and leave behind. We measure healing by how closely we resemble who we were before the wound. But from a perspective, the breaking points of our lives are not interruptions to the story of the self — they are the story. The moments where the constructed self, built from performance and learned survival, can no longer hold its shape. And that collapse is often the exact threshold through which the truer self begins to emerge.
We are not meant to return to who we were before the break. We are meant to be repaired with awareness — so the fractures become the places where light enters.
The gold is not a promise that everything will be beautiful after pain. It means: I was here. This happened. I did not look away. The repair is real, forged in the actual material of lived experience. The fracture held within the structure, not concealed beneath it.

Term 1 of Creative Circle - 9 weeks of the Atlas - a journey.
What makes Atlas unique is the wide spectrum of creative and somatic modalities we explore — all held within one consistent, supportive circle.
This isn’t something you can experience in a single workshop, course, or session. Valerie’s work doesn’t push insight before safety.
She understands that clarity only arrives once the body is regulated.

Art is not used to “express” for expression’s sake —
it’s used as a navigation instrument when words are insufficient or overwhelming.Because ATLAS is not a method you teach — it’s a field you hold.
And that field is built from lived experience, not theory. The Atlas is a living map. Not a course to finish, but a field to inhabit — where creativity becomes navigation and art helps your nervous system find orientation, meaning, and forward movement. TERM 2 opens…

This week in our KOLO circle with Ukrainian women in Melbourne, we explored a simple yet powerful practice — stone flow.

A small stone became our guide.
Not controlling. Not forcing.
Just allowing the hand to follow… the movement, the rhythm, the unknown.

Lines began to appear — layered, crossing, weaving over each other.
Then we moved around the table, stepping into each other’s paths…
adding, responding, adapting — just like life.

What emerged was more than drawing.

It was an experience of:
✨ letting go of control
✨ trusting the process
✨ finding flow within chaos
✨ allowing other people’s stories to exist alongside your own

As we returned to our original place, something shifted.
The same lines… now carried new meaning.

Each woman began to see:
images, symbols, stories that were always there — waiting.

From these lines, they created what matters most right now:
🌿 family
🌿 freedom
🌿 structure
🌿 play
🌿 grounding
🌿 possibility

We asked a simple question:

What do you want to create in your life — out of chaos?

And the answers came… not through words,
but through colour, symbol, and presence.

We closed with breath and butterfly tapping —
returning to the body, to safety, to self.

This is the work.
Not fixing.
Not forcing.

Just creating space… where something new can emerge. 🤍

This practice wasn’t about creating something beautiful.
It was about experiencing what happens when we stop holding on.

We began in the body —
oil myrtle on the hands, breath, shaking —
allowing the nervous system to release what words cannot reach.

From there, we drew the structures that hold us together.
The invisible patterns. The quiet stories.

Then watercolour moved through — intuitive, unplanned —
revealing where we seek safety, where we repeat,
where we try to move forward before we’re ready.

And then… we let it disappear.

Washed away. Dissolved.
No fixing. No saving.

Some felt resistance.
Some felt relief.
Some saw what was underneath more clearly than before.

Because when the surface goes —
the truth remains.

We didn’t start again on a clean page.
We created on what was left.

And that’s the real work.

Not starting over —
but building something new on top of what has already been lived.

We closed in the Equinox field:
black paper, white pastel — light from dark.

Each person created a symbol of balance.
Something to hold when the waves return.

This is not just art.
This is somatic release.
This is transpersonal practice.

Nothing was lost.
Everything changed form.

There was a time in my life when creativity stopped being just art and became a way to survive, process and return to myself.
Through divorce, motherhood, the pandemic, and the heartbreak of witnessing the war in Ukraine while supporting displaced refugees, I was led into deeper healing and deeper purpose.
That is how Active Kreative was born.
My one-on-one sessions are for those who feel deeply, carry a lot, and know that talking alone is not always enough. It is not therapy in the clinical sense. It is a space where your story becomes art, your wounds become wisdom, and your creative voice — perhaps buried for years — is called home. I work with a small number of people at a time because this work deserves full presence.
If you are ready to come home to yourself, I'm here.
If you feel called to explore one-on-one therapy with me, read more or DM me.

If you are ready to come home to yourself, I'm here.

In this episode Robert Edward Grant describes geometry as “the QR code of the subconscious mind”—and I feel that so deeply. Because when you look at a geometric form, something inside you reads it. Not intellectually… but through your nervous system, your perception, your inner knowing.A direct transmission that bypasses the overthinking mind and speaks to the deeper self—
the part of you that remembers.

Because the New Earth isn’t only a place we arrive to.
It’s a state of coherence we embody.

And sacred geometry, intentional mark-making, symbolism, and creation can bring us into that coherence—between brain and heart, mind and body, self and spirit.

That’s why I call it Heartistry:
when art becomes a technology of the heart—
a portal into healing, remembering, and realignment.

I truly believe that in a higher-dimensional way of living, we will communicate less through argument and analysis—
and more through resonance. And art—especially sacred geometry—has always been one of the oldest forms of transmission on this planet.Because healing isn’t always a breakthrough.
Sometimes it’s a quiet return.

🜁 If you feel called to explore sacred geometry as a healing practice, this is the work I hold inside Active Kreative—where art becomes regulation, ritual, and remembrance.
