Carrot Cake Baked Oats 🥕✨

A make-ahead breakfast with a subtle Easter twist!

Ingredients:

2½ cups rolled oats
1½ cups milk of choice
2 eggs
1 cup grated carrot
¼ cup nut or seed butter
¼ cup sultanas or chopped dates
¼ cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp mixed spice or nutmeg
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
pinch of salt

Method:
Preheat oven to 180°C and lightly grease a baking dish
Whisk milk, eggs, nut/seed butter and vanilla
Stir in remaining ingredients
Pour into dish and bake for 35–40 mins, until set
Cool slightly, then slice

Clinic hours over the Easter period:
🐣 Our Annerley clinic (.fcchiro) will be open on Saturday morning for those who may need an appointment (patients across FCC are welcome to visit).
🐣 All other clinics will be closed from Good Friday through to Easter Monday.

All clinics will reopen as normal from Tuesday, the 7th April.

🦴 Spinal Decompression (aka the “medieval stretching device” 😅)...
..Jokingly nicknamed by our patients as the name comes from the function. Your legs are gently secured, then slowly stretched out to create controlled spinal movement. It feels a little medieval…but the technique itself is very gentle! 🩵

Spinal decompression using a flexion–distraction table is a low-force chiropractic approach that aims to:

✅ Reduce mechanical load through the spine
✅ Support spinal mobility
✅ Encourage more comfortable movement

What patients may often notice:

✅ A deep, supported stretch
✅ Slow, controlled movement
✅ A comfortable option for stiff or compressed spines

Flexion–distraction is typically used as part of a broader, holistic approach to care, alongside other chiropractic techniques and movement advice.

Supercharged Avocado Toast! 🍳🥑

Start your day with 1 or 2 slices of this nutrient-packed breakfast: sliced avocado, a fried egg, juicy pomegranate, crunchy sesame seeds, and fresh microgreens on toasted sourdough.

Why it’s good for you:

✨Avocado: Heart-healthy fats and fiber to keep you full and energised.
✨Egg: Protein plus B12 and choline for brain health.
✨Pomegranate: Antioxidants that fight inflammation and support immunity.
✨Sesame Seeds: Calcium and magnesium for strong bones.
✨Microgreens: Tiny but mighty and loaded with vitamins and minerals.
