Why We Won’t Be Bulk Billing Every Appointment (from Nov 1st)
At CSMC, we’re committed to providing personal, high-quality care — not rushed “6-minute medicine.”
To stay sustainable and keep offering the care our patients deserve, we’ll continue as a mixed billing practice.
We still bulk bill patients for— health assessments, kids under 12, and childhood immunisations — but some appointments will have a gap fee.
Recent government changes have reduced Medicare rebates and removed key mental health items, which makes universal bulk billing no longer possible.
We know healthcare costs matter.
