🌬 November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month 💙

Early detection can save lives — and now there’s a new national screening program that makes it easier than ever to check your lung health.

The National Lung Cancer Screening Program (NLCSP) offers free low-dose CT scans for eligible people aged 50–70 with a history of smoking. You may qualify if you currently smoke or quit within the last 10 years and have no symptoms of lung cancer.

Why We Won’t Be Bulk Billing Every Appointment (from Nov 1st)

At CSMC, we’re committed to providing personal, high-quality care — not rushed “6-minute medicine.”

To stay sustainable and keep offering the care our patients deserve, we’ll continue as a mixed billing practice.
We still bulk bill patients for— health assessments, kids under 12, and childhood immunisations — but some appointments will have a gap fee.

Recent government changes have reduced Medicare rebates and removed key mental health items, which makes universal bulk billing no longer possible.

We know healthcare costs matter.
