✨ Welcome Rachel to the Team! ✨ We’re thrilled to introduce the newest member of our team – Rachel, our new riding coach! 🐎 Originally from the UK, Rachel has spent the past 3 years in Australia, bringing a wealth of experience from the equestrian world. With a background in jumping, dressage, racing, and western riding, where she even spent three seasons mustering cattle, Rachel is no stranger to the saddle! While she’s dabbled in various disciplines, show jumping holds a special place in her heart. Rachel is dedicated to helping riders grow, and she’s passionate about seeing clients build confidence in every aspect of their riding. She’ll be coaching Monday and Wednesday afternoons, as well as Sunday mornings, and is excited to work with riders of all levels and disciplines.

Meet Amy, our Estate Manager & Head Coach

I have been around horses my entire life, getting my first horse at just three years old and growing up in a horse-focused family. Originally from Scotland, I also spent several years in Portugal, where I continued riding and gained early experience working at a riding school during school holidays.

I have competed from a young age, Its my favourite thing to do and am very competitive, with highlights including competing at top Scottish shows such as Blair International Horse Trials, where my mum won a championship and I placed third in the National Championships for M&M Working Hunter. While working hunter is my favourite discipline, I have experience across dressage, showing, cross country, showjumping,Trec, Eventing, Arena Eventing.....

I particularly enjoy teaching jumping gymnastics, focusing on technique and rider development rather than just how high you can jump. I have also gained experience working with young horses, including time spent working for a professional who specialises in backing and breaking.

Over the years, I have worked in a variety of yards, gaining broad experience, and spent nearly 10 years at a BHS-approved competition yard as a head groom, managing liveries and clients while learning from the owner a highly qualified BHSI fellowship coach and her husband a professional Qualified for all levels, including Advanced and FEI international events level cross-country course builder

I have a strong passion for course design and hope to pursue it professionally in the future.

🦄Favourite horse: Teddie
🐎Favourite ride: Do you even need to ask..... Teddie! my bestest man

After writing this and asking the other coaches to do the same, I’ve realised how hard it is to sum up a lifetime with horses in just one post.
For us, it’s not just a hobby, it truly is a lifestyle.

Horses have enriched my life in so many ways and have been there through all of life’s ups and downs. No matter what’s going on, they always seem to make everything a little bit better.

Bonus picture of my mum at the end there, just because shes the best and the reason I ride ❤️
