Today we say goodbye to long-time nurse Sue and sincerely thank her for her 25 years of service, loyalty, and commitment to Forest View. Over the years, Sue has touched many hearts and made a difference in so many lives throughout her journey with us.

A lovely morning tea was enjoyed while Ray & Barb entertained the crowd.

Thank you, Sue, and best wishes for your retirement. Don’t be a stranger! 💐

Today, on Anzac Day, we take time to reflect and remember those who served with courage and sacrifice. Some came home, and some did not. What they did—and what many still do for our country—is nothing short of honourable. Thank you will never be enough.
We will remember them.

Good Morning Childers Community,

Forest View Care would like to warmly introduce you to Danielle and Kris from Luminise, they will be providing corporate and onsite management services to our Retirement Village. Kris has a strong knowledge of the operational management of retirement villages and has owned a number of successful vibrant communities. Danielle is a Registered Nurse with extensive experience owning and operating the care teams within those villages so people can truly age comfortably in their place. They have worked together for the past 17 years and are passionate about creating communities where people feel comfortable, connected, and at home. We welcome them on board with us to help us to continue to support our local Childers community and residing residents🫶❣️

A creative morning was spent learning the art of decoupage, with residents making beautiful items to use and enjoy.

We then enjoyed a delicious Indian-themed lunch buffet, kindly prepared by our wonderful kitchen staff.

A fun and enjoyable day had by all! 😊

We would also like to thank our maintenance team for preparing the area — it looks absolutely beautiful in the courtyard and will be enjoyed by many for years to come 💛

🧡 Celebrating Diversity, Culture & Inclusion at Forest View 🧡

Today we celebrated Harmony Day, recognising the importance of diversity, culture, and inclusion in our community.

Residents and staff enjoyed a wonderful “around the world” culinary experience for our special morning tea, sampling a variety of delicious treats. 🌏

It was fantastic to see so many dressed in orange, with the space beautifully decorated to match the occasion.

A great day filled with connection, culture, and celebration – bringing everyone together ❤️

🍀 Celebrating Irish Culture this Month at Forest View! 🍀

Today was a sea of green as we came together to celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day!

Residents and staff enjoyed a fun-filled day with Irish-themed bingo, quizzes, and fun facts, along with plenty of laughs sharing jokes and limericks – and even creating a few of our own!

We got creative making our Irish hats, thanks to the kind donation from Shannon and the team at Childers Woodgate Funeral Services – such a fun activity for everyone involved. 🎩💚

Our Morning tea was also green and Irish to keep within our theme

Even out pet therapy dog Gomez joined in on the fun!

To top off the day, we finished with a Happy Hour, enjoying some delicious Shamrock Shakes!

Fun was had by all – and of course, our staff loved dressing up and getting into the spirit for another fantastic themed day here at Forest View.
