TEL Speech Pathology is a mobile service across metropolitan Adelaide. TEL Speech Pathology provide friendly initial consultations making you feel comfortable and confident. The initial appointment assists to plan out the most appropriate assessments (if required) and evidenced based treatment to people of all ages, from toddlers to teenagers. TEL Speech Pathology specialise in; speech, language, social communication skills, fussy eating, fluency and AAC support. Please feel free to give us a call and TELL us your concerns. We are Medicare registered and are able to see Self and Plan-managed NDIS participants.

A gentle start for busy little brains! 🧠 ☀️

Creating a morning basket is a fantastic way to support regulation and connection as the first task of the day! Inside, we added a mix of books, simple crafts, quiet tasks and independent learning activities to ease into the morning! 😌

These small moments can help kiddos wake up calm, engaged and ready to learn. A little structure and intention goes a long way! ✨

We’re getting organised for some super fun sessions! Our minis are ready to help our kiddos with:

⭐️ Articulation (focusing on those clear speech sounds)
⭐️ Phonemic awareness (they might sort toys by their initial sound)
⭐️ Vocabulary (sorting minis into categories)
⭐️ Following directions (think ‘put the duck under the chair’)
⭐️ Describing and comparing (talking about size, colour, etc)

When she’s not at Tel, you might find Esther walking her dogs along the beach, baking a cake, or reading a good book! 🐾🍰📖

It’s AAC Awareness Month! 🥳 AAC stands for Augmentative and Alternative Communication - that means any method that helps someone to communicate beyond spoken words! 💬

AAC might look like pointing to pictures, using sign language, pressing buttons on a speech generating device and so much more! From low-tech to high-tech, AAC supports people of all ages and abilities to express their wants, needs, thoughts and feelings. The Tel team is incredibly lucky to help support AAC users and their families each and every day!

Let’s celebrate all the incredible ways people share their voices! 🎉

Reading doesn’t have to mean sitting still with a book! 📖 Pairing a story with toys makes language learning hands-on, fun and memorable! 🤗

For this Fairy Feast, we used our pretend picnic play to support our language targets. 🧚🧺✨

While we read, we can:

✨ Match items from the story to the play items
✨ Practice describing what we see
✨ Act out the fairy feast to build pretend play, vocabulary and sequencing skills

This simple add on turns story time into an interactive experience full of vocabulary, imagination and connection! 🧡 Give it a try and let us know how you went!

Tara’s face says it all - we absolutely ADORE this book! 💛

‘My Feelings are Waves’ by the wonderful has become a firm favourite in our space. It’s such a beautifully written and illustrated story that helps little ones to recognise, name and navigate their big feelings in a calm and relatable way. 🌊🧠
Watching children connect with the characters and language in this book is incredibly special and such a powerful reminder of how important it is to support every child’s unique way of experiencing and expressing emotions! 💬📖
