A great result for this patient who had constant arch pain. Fortunately the only treatment they required was correcting their foot alignment. Fortunately we were able to achieve this result with just 1 type of our prefabricated prescription-only professional grade orthoses without needing to go to customs. See what a great result we got? Home and work for the next week. Volunteering my skills to help in a country that doesn't even have podiatry as a profession. I have been invited to help establish a diabetes program and service to help reduce the number of diabetic amputations and improve outcomes for people with diabetes.

For anyone who wonders what I do on holiday. Here in Egypt. Mobile podiatry takes on a while new meaning. Orthotic making in a metal workshop! Huge shout out to Ibrahim, Amir and Shawkat for working together with me to come up with a very creative solution using what we get and finding a space in a metalwork workshop to make these custom orthoses for the *most* extreme flexible flat feet I have ever seen, forefoot abduction at 45 degrees and I suspect possibly even weight bearing on talus. Never seen anything like it.

Those impressionable years watching Macgyver paid off at last lol



For the pods: I donated my own Dola's and added extra RF varus +++, a 4mm eva MLA pad D shape to increase navicular support and EVA arch fill. Amazing result. I think this is a good way to progress in places such as this.
