Have you heard?! Big news this week for hearing health in Australia!

After years of dedication and advocacy by our professional bodies, Audiologists have been approved to join the National Registration and Accreditation Scheme (NRAS) under AHPRA.

This is huge recognition of the vital role audiologists play in public health — protecting hearing, supporting communication, and improving quality of life every day.

👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️ Just like doctors, physios, and optometrists, audiologists will now be formally recognised and regulated as essential health professionals.

While there’s work to be done to plan and implement the changes, it’s a very exciting milestone for our profession, our patients, and the future of hearing care in Australia🦻💚

I really enjoy visiting . Even when it’s busy, I can still have a conversation without yelling over the noise. Why? Beautiful acoustic design!
