Today we’re celebrating not just Courtney’s birthday 🎈 but the incredible person who is the backbone of The Foot Studio. Courtney is a quiet force behind the scenes who keeps everything running and helps us bring our big ideas to life. He’s thoughtful, very caring, always has our patients best interests at heart and supports all of the incredible team with our big crazy ideas on changing the world through Podiatry 🤩

We’re working on some exciting projects that will make a real impact in our community, and we’re so grateful to our team and patients who make it all possible.

Here’s to another year of growth, gratitude and helping people live healthier, happier lives from the ground up 💪

A Podiatrists Guide: Restore Healthy Skin & Nails This Spring!

Why It Matters 🧏‍♀️

Fungal nail infections are more than a cosmetic issue. If left untreated, they can:

🍂 Weaken the nail and surrounding skin, leading to painful and dangerous ingrown toenails

🍂 Lead to painful cracks or wounds

🍂Allow bacteria to enter, causing secondary infections

🍂 In higher-risk groups, even result in hospitalisation

For elderly patients or those with conditions like diabetes or compromised immune systems, this can have a real impact on overall health. That’s why early intervention and ongoing care is so important. We call this “critical” skin and nail care at The Foot Studio (not routine, or general in any way).

This Week’s Wins and Reflections – End of Week Gratitude 🌿

We’ve had an incredible week at The Foot Studio, connecting with other podiatrists and diving into internal training and professional development.

🌱 From deepening our clinical knowledge in the Vascular Fundamentals webinar with Peta Tehan (Peta, you are just incredible! 🙌🏻)
🌱 to connecting with for remote blister advice and inspiration from his time in the Sahara Desert (see incredible photos 👇)- Race-Ready Trail Care: Remote Strategies for Podiatrists. Cameron recently volunteered at the 2025 Marathon des Sables, treating elite athletes and working alongside doctors and nurses from around the world. From managing huge blisters and subungual haematomas to stress fractures and soft tissue injuries – all in 250km of sand, heat, and chaos – his experience was nothing short of extraordinary.

We connected with him to draw inspiration from his insights on what really matters on race day, how to deliver excellent remote care, and the things we might not even realise we need to prepare for
🌱 to sharpening our approach to running assessments training lead by Aoife and myself 🏃‍♀️

Our conversations are ramping up as we get ready to provide remote podiatry on Saturday 16 August, supporting the running community 🙌🏻
