Hi Everyone, just a message to advise due to illness we only have two doctors working tomorrow and will have no extra appointments available. Nurse Lili we be working so if any advice needed please call the surgery.
Hopefully next week we will be in a better position.
Also just a gentle reminder that if you are experiencing any flu like symptoms you are not able to come into the surgery. We will offer you a telephone or car consultation where available.

Hi everyone,
Just a reminder that we are short on doctors this week and next week. We currently have Dr Lucy Alexander, Dr Hannah Stoddart, Dr Bruni Gale, Dr Denise Wild, and Dr Michael Scanlon on leave. Please remember that we offer online script requests through HotDoc. It is not guaranteed that the script will be done (in which case we will organise an appointment). We are just hoping to free up appointments where possible. We still have telephone appointments available through Ochre Anytime, just book through HotDoc.

HOLIDAYS!
We have a number of doctors on a well deserved break in September/October and will be quite short of appointments. We have managed to organise additional telehealth appointments through our Hot Doc Ochre Anytime. These appointments will be billed as per our billing policy.

We have been alerted to a scam using HOTDOC ( which is the booking and messaging company we use). They say they are contacting about a refund which is due. Please do not answer that. We would contact you by phone if an error has been made. You are always welcome to phone the surgery to check with us if you receive any message that seems unusual.

HOLIDAYS!
We have a number of doctors on leave in July and will be quite short of appointments. We have managed to secure a locum doctor- Dr Caryl O’Shaghnessy- who will work with us for 2 weeks. She is a very experienced doctor and we are hoping everyone will make her welcome.

****Manners please people!!****
Our staff have noticed an increase in patients demanding that doctors fill in paperwork, do scripts, referrals, etc. without an appointment (we offer face to face or telehealth). We understand that from all the “Medicare is free” political talk at the moment, you may think doctors would be getting paid for this work. However the reality is that each doctor in our practice is running their own small business and when you ask them to do unpaid work (we can only bill for time spent actually with a patient- not for paperwork), you are taking their income. The staff have been advised not to ask doctors to do these things without an appointment and also they will never tell you that you will be “bulk-billed”.
We have a number of lovely families who have moved to the area and want to attend our practice but we are too full at present.
If you are rude to any of our staff you will be asked to move to a different practice that may suit you better. We will be happy to transfer your file. We will then accept a new patient who chooses our style of medicine . This has always been our policy.
Thank you to the vast majority of our patients who are respectful and a privilege to care for. We are very proud of our wonderful patients and practice and we won’t let ungrateful people change that!!

Unfortunately there is a power outage in Claremont. We currently do not have phones, computers or lights (we can not even open the front doors). It was a sad day at Ochre Claremont today. After 44 years of dedication to general practice Dr Graeme has hung up his stethoscope. To celebrate the legend he is, we had a dress as Graeme day today 😊
