๐ World Diabetes Day | 14 November
Know more and do more for diabetes at work ๐โจ
This World Diabetes Day, weโre raising awareness about the need for better care and support in the workplace - so people living with diabetes can feel safe, empowered, and supported to manage their health at work.
For many, this means overcoming real challenges:
โ Missing out on training and development
โ Denied time off for medical appointments
โ Restricted access to snack or restroom breaks
Globally, 7 in 10 adults living with diabetes are of working age - yet managing their condition at work often comes with stress, stigma, and silence. The International Diabetes Federation is calling for more inclusive and supportive workplaces where employees with diabetes are respected, valued, and able to thrive - without compromising their health or ambitions.
At BHN we educate our clients to take ownership of their diabetes management through latest technology including Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM). ๐๐ก
If you would like to participate in a two week free trial of CGM, please contact our Diabetes Education team by calling 132 246 or visit https://www.bhn.org.au/services/physical-health/diabetes-education/
Letโs break the stigma, raise awareness, and build environments where everyone can bring their whole selves to work ๐ผ๐ช๐
