🌸 Celebrating International Women’s Day 🌸

Today - Sunday, 8th March, we celebrate International Women’s Day and recognise the incredible women who make such a meaningful difference in healthcare and in our communities.

Female Physiotherapists play a powerful role in supporting the health and wellbeing of those around them. Every day they combine knowledge, compassion, and dedication to help people move better, recover from injury, and feel confident in their bodies again.

Their work goes far beyond treatment sessions - it’s about listening, encouraging, educating, and empowering every person who walks through the door.

Women across the healthcare industry contribute so much to the lives of others. Their commitment, empathy, and resilience shape the care people receive and strengthen the communities they serve.

At JARAH Physiotherapy, we’re incredibly proud to recognise Jazz, who truly embodies what compassionate care looks like. Jazz consistently goes above and beyond for her clients, always taking the time to understand their needs and support them through their recovery journey.

Her dedication, kindness, and passion for helping others make a real impact every single day.
She is a true inspiration to the many people whose lives she impacts through her work.
Today we celebrate the women in healthcare who show up, care deeply, and make a difference every day. 💜

Physiotherapy can help those with Dementia by supporting their mobility, strength, and independence for as long as possible.

It helps reduce the risk of falls, eases pain and stiffness, and encourages safe, meaningful movement.

Gentle exercise can also improve mood, lessen anxiety or agitation, and provide comforting routine and structure.

Although it does not cure Dementia, Physiotherapy helps preserve dignity, confidence, and quality of life while also offering guidance and reassurance to caregivers.

Also, take a look at this helpful post from Dementia Australia about brain health, reducing the risk and Dementia preventions.

We'd like to share this important post from the Australian Physiotherapy Association in recognition of Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month this month.

Each year in Australia, around 1,900 women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer - most at an advanced stage, when it is very difficult to treat. Ovarian cancer has the poorest survival rate of any female cancer in Australia, yet only 31% of Australians are aware of this.

This devastating disease continues to face a lack of awareness and progress. That’s why we support efforts to educate with evidence-based information, advocate for increased research funding and better access to affordable treatment, and elevate the voices of women impacted by ovarian cancer.

Together, we can drive change and improve outcomes. If you’re able, please consider donating to help change the future for those affected. 💙

🌸 Celebrating Women in Health Care – February 3 🌸

Today, we’re taking a moment to recognise the incredible contributions of women in health care and to give a special shout-out to Jazz, whose dedication and compassion make a real difference in our community every single day.

As a Physiotherapist, Jazz works tirelessly supporting seniors, NDIS participants, and members of the general public, meeting people where they are and helping them move, function, and live with greater independence and confidence. Her commitment to patient-centred care truly reflects the values we’re proud of.

February 3 marks National Women Physicians Day, an annual observance honouring the trailblazing achievements of women in medicine, inspired by Dr Elizabeth Blackwell, who became the first American woman to earn a medical degree in 1849.

This day celebrates the lasting impact women have had and continue to have, across health care through leadership, advocacy, research, and hands-on care.

While today highlights female physicians, we also acknowledge the broader community of women across all health professions whose expertise, empathy, and determination strengthen our health system and improve lives every day.

Thank you, Jazz, for the work you do and the care you bring to our community 💙

🌟 Client of the Month – January 2026 🌟

This month, we are so proud to celebrate Ngaire as our Client of the Month 💐

Ngaire truly embodies resilience. After overcoming a very difficult couple of years. She continues to show up, never gives up, and meets every challenge with strength and determination. Her perseverance is inspiring, and her outlook is something we all admire.

Beyond that, Ngaire has the most beautiful soul. Whether it’s a friendly phone chat or seeing her smiling face each week, her happy and delightful manner always shines through and brightens our day.

Ngaire, we are so grateful to have you as part of the JARAH community, and we feel incredibly lucky to support you on your journey. Thank you for trusting us and for being such a wonderful part of our week 💚

Please join us in congratulating Ngaire! 👏✨
