Introducing Col!👏👏👏

Col is a new grad OT and the newest addition to our Optimum Movement Family.

After completing her Bachelor of Science in 2022, Col commenced her Master of Occupational Therapy, knowing that OT was the perfect fit for her science background and her passion for supporting people in their daily activities. She loves seeing clients do the things they love the most while being surrounded by people who mean the most.

During her studies, Col worked as a support worker and OT assistant where she collaborated with individuals with complex disabilities and their multidisciplinary teams. A rewarding hydrotherapy experience sparked her passion for working in early intervention and with individuals with neurological conditions. To extend on this, she recently completed the screening version of the hand assessment for infants (s-HAI) through the Sweden’s university of Karolinska.

Col has a deep commitment for family-centred therapy, where helping parents to develop therapeutic skills and strategies that build their child’s capacity is a core focus.

Happy International Day of People with Disability!

International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) is a United Nations observed day held on 3 December each year.

In Australia, IDPwD is a joint effort between government, schools, organisations, community groups, businesses and individuals.

The Australian Government through the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing funds a national program to help promote and raise awareness of this day.

The United Nations announced the theme for IDPwD 2025 as: Fostering disability inclusive societies for advancing social progress.

Meet Gail, our new receptionist!

We're excited to introduce Gail as the newest member of our Admin team and Optimum Movement family. Gail will be a friendly face you'll see when you walk through the doors at our Cleveland clinic, and she will make sure every visit is warm and welcoming.

Gail enjoys interacting and helping clients, families and therapists, and loves the chance to make someone's day easier. Gail grew up in the Redlands and has spent the last 25 years in the education sector working with students and their families.
