Banyula Rural

Banyula Rural Working with nature, not against her. Foliar and soil treatments to nurture your crops, naturally.

Banyula Rural is the agricultural arm of Banyula, a regenerative farm and large-scale reforestation project. At Banyula Rural we make our own plant nutrition products, foliar sprays and soil amendments, which help create a prolific crop and while simultaneously nurturing the ecosystem.

In a world often focused on the big, highly visible things, this display reminds us of the importance of the unseen forces that keep ecosystems balanced and thriving. 🌱

We found this beautiful Austropaxillus down by the causeway where have been working to restore the riverbanks. David and Elijah from were kind enough to get me to stop and smell the fungi, with mixed results (picture coming).

Conventional farming often relies heavily on synthetic fertilisers to boost crop yields. These inputs can degrade soil health over time and lead to diminishing returns. At Banyula, we advocate for regenerative agriculture practices that enhance soil fertility naturally. By incorporating cover crops, making our own plant nutrition products and composts, and reducing tillage, we aim to improve soil structure and nutrient content, leading to sustainable and cost-effective farming. Our approach not only reduces reliance on expensive fertilisers but also promotes long-term ecological balance. We're not pretending to have all the answers, but we are trying to find them.

Grant Fleming was kind enough to explain his pruning technique while working on Banyula's Macadamia orchards. He acknowledged that his techniques differ from others but said that in the long run, you save yourself a lot of extra work and get healthier trees.

We're having a good laugh at some of they lyrics in the AI generated music we "made".
