Thats the wrap! The last Mildura trip has concluded for 2025. What a fabulous bunch of people and horses I get the privilege to work alongside.

Mildura started by treating a few horses a few years ago to now something much larger that I need to clone myself to stay afloat up here, which is something I never thought would be possible.

It takes a village behind the scenes to keep these trips running and I thank you all so much for supporting me in this journey! You all know who you are!

Being away from home is extremely hard but knowing my friends and family have my best interests at heart, allows me to help other people and their horses to achieve their full potential :)

This year I have travelled over 6000kms to Mildura and back. Waking up at ridiculous hours of the morning and getting home late proves time and time again that all the improvements I have seen in your horses is so worth it.

Keep doing your homework and I will see you all in January 2026!!!

7 weeks ago, Zeus had a slight mishap at a competition. I never felt anything happen, he just appeared lame as I headed down the centreline to start my dressage teat. After checking him over I discovered a slight over reach injury. Despite keeping it clean, and wrapped, it very quickly turned into cellulitis and he spent a week at South Eastern Equine Hospital.

2 weeks post discharge, we went back for a check up to discover Zeus was still lame despite being sound when he left the hospital. Turned out he also sustained a low grade tear in his tendon at the same time 😭😢😭 not bad but enough to send him to the paddock for an extended period of time.

The healing process for both the over reach injury and tendon has been very intense. Daily icing, red light therapy, therapeutic ultrasound, bandaging , and corrective farrier work. Combining all these different modalities has helped reduce swelling and inflammation. With the guidance of one of the best vets and farrier around we have seen progress. It just proves that having a good network of different health professionals who work together can achieve great results 😍

There is still a long way to go but we are heading in the right direction. I have been so particular about his recovery and his ongoing treatment which is the reason I'm so fussy with clients horses. They should be receiving the best care possible!
