🧡 Increased Availability 🧡

I have now increased my work days to 4 days (not working Thursdays) which has reduced my wait time from 5 weeks ( 😱) to under 1 week! Hooray!!!!!

I will still be running home visits but not as regularly.

Here are some UTERUS cookies (yes I am aware they can look like something else if you squint) to announce some sweet news!

I have now added an extra day at the clinic so will be working Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Fridays.

If my current wait has put you off an appointment this should improve so now is the time!

I have added Wednesdays so they will be the most available 🧡

Government support for people living with pelvic pain and endometriosis is essential 🧡 the financial burden of healthcare is one of the main barriers and there is still an average of 7 years (and usually multiple doctors visits) before diagnosis.

Over a number of years I worked with local women to draw attention to the lack of resources for women suffering endometriosis and pelvic pain. Our Federal Labor Government have since put treatments on the PBS and funded a clinic in Darwin which has been very successful in providing support.

This week the Assistant Minister for Health, Aged Care and Indigenous Health, the Hon Rebecca White MP, joined me at the Pelvic Pain and Endometriosis Clinic in Coconut Grove.

This clinic is part of the Albanese Government’s $500 million investment in women’s health, making sure women in the Territory and across Australia have better access to care, earlier treatment and stronger support.
