Yidaki Vibes is proud to now offer make your own didge workshops and cultural experience on Gumbaynggirr land in the Orara Valley on the mid north coast of NSW only 20 mins out of Coffs Harbour.

Kristian Benton of Yidaki Vibes has been making, playing and teaching the didgeridoo full time for almost 30 years. He has a wealth of experience with this amazing instrument and is ready to share his knowledge in a workshop and cultural experience on his beautiful property in Coramba.

Kristian has been providing his workshops for indigenous youth and men of the community for many years and is now ready to share this opportunity with the wider public.

The 1 acre property borders state forest and is available to host participants for 1 or 2 days with a range of accommodation options.

Make your own quality didgeridoo is a unique opportunity to work with one of the worlds best known didge makers. You will have a hands on,face to face experience with Kristian as he guides you through making your very own didgeridoo from start to finish, teaches you how to play and shares his stories and knowledge of his indigenous culture.

What we offer:
You will choose your own didge from a selection of termite eaten eucalyptus logs.

You will be guided through the process of taking off the bark, hollowing out the inside, chiseling and tuning, sanding and decorating the outside and perfecting it to a finished functioning instrument.

You will listen and learn how to play a variety of different sounds and styles.

Listen to Kristian tell stories and share knowledge by the fire.

Look through Kristian’s significant collection of didgeridoos/Yidaki’s, indigenous artefacts and tools and a range of reading material.

Venture into and explore the surrounding bush and beautiful mountain views and the rest of what the stunning Orara Valley has to offer.

You can choose to stay on the property with options to camp or caravan accommodation.

You can choose to be fully catered for the time of your stay or bring your own food.

Take home your unique didgeridoo that you made yourself to show off to all your family and friends!

The experience is a wonderful opportunity for individuals, groups, organisations, fathers and sons, locals and tourists.

Prices for the 1 day workshop which runs from 9am to 5pm starting from $500

Prices for the 2 day workshop starting at $750

Blank logs will be between $150-$250 depending on what you choose.

Affordable accommodation and food options are extra.
