Thanks for having me !

Last night we chatted about fueling our bodies for performance, what to eat before and after training, and how to tell if your nutrition needs improvement.

This delightful bunch were so engaged and asked amazing questions! I love presenting to groups like this

Easy snack plate for lunch

On hot days, I often lose my appetite. So I find my ‘lazy lunch’ option of a snack plate really hits the spot. To me, it looks great (which helps me feel like eating) but it takes minimal effort 👌🏼

I try to incorporate carbs, protein and colour to give it a bit of nutritional balance.

This also works great in a lunch box for work or travel 👍🏼

Turns out it’s important, as a Dietitian, to incorporate apples into your photos. And probably also a lab coat, measuring tape, and stethoscope (despite never using one in almost 14 years of practice).

There are many misconceptions and stereotypes surrounding the nutrition industry, and these examples (swipe for more) are really not helping things!

There is a good chance I’m biased, but Dietitian’s are generally some of the most realistic, down to earth people I know. So NO, we won’t be touting “an apple a day”, dressing in white coats or measuring your body (except on the odd occasion when absolutely necessary).

We will however encourage you to enjoy eating, say “yum” too many times when you tell us what you ate yesterday, and validate your barriers to health.

And truth is, I don’t even really like apples (unless they’re in a pie!)

Thanks for the inspiration
