Coffs Coast Midwifery 🩷 Teneille is a Private Practice Endorsed Midwife providing woman-centred Antenatal and Postnatal care to the Coffs Coast area- Birth support also available

Teneille has been a Registered Midwife since 2012, a Registered Nurse since 2005 and a University Teacher since 2021. Teneille is an Endorsed Midwife, which means she has additional qualifications and specific expertise which meets the requirements of the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) to prescribe medicines as well as order pathology and radiology. Her services also attract a Medicare rebate, meaning women get a refund back from Medicare after paying the scheduled fee. Teneille has been working within Maternity at the local hospital for many years, as well as educating Bachelor of Midwifery students at the local University, and tutoring for a QLD University. She has also acted in various roles within Maternity such as Clinical Midwifery Student facilitator and Clinical Midwifery Educator. Teneille is also a wife as well as a mother of four children, two University aged and two school aged. With limited options on the Coffs Coast for woman-centred continuity of care, Teneille decided to start her own company to strive to provide quality tailor-made continuity of care for women and their families. Teneille will visit you in your home at a time to suit you during the antenatal period, saving you long waits and travel time. Teneille will also visit postnatally as often as required up to 6 weeks post birth, to provide you with ongoing support whilst you establish and settle into caring for and feeding your new baby.

🩷 I’ve been working hard practicing perineal suturing repair. I’m really getting there! Very soon it’ll be another normal part of my practice and the care that I give all women post birth, plus it’ll open up more opportunities for my private practice and more continuity of care! .

🩷 11 years ago we welcomed our beautiful baby girl, Winter Lily Alice to complete our family. It was a crazy whirlwind one hour labour, complicated by a scary large postpartum haemorrhage 6 hours after her birth.

🩷 After having 3 boys, it was nice to have a girl and very quickly there were headbands, nail painting and loads of pink! Happy birthday Winnie!!!

🩷 Yesterday we walked/ran 5km straight up a very steep mountain and 5km back down. We are training for next year’s Ultra Trail Australia (UTA) held in the Blue Mountains.

🩷It’s still 8 months away, and although I’ve been running, going to the gym and doing Pilates, now is the time to regularly do some very steep hills!

🩷 It was tough! Im SO sore today! Every time I looked ahead at the steep hill I felt overwhelmed. You know what got me to the top?
-focusing on a few steps at a time rather than thinking of how far I still had to go
-determination and belief
-training
-and support (my hubby alongside me)

🩷 Labour and birth is the same. During pregnancy is when you need your own private midwife; building a partnership of trust and support. It’s the time to mentally and physically prepare for labour and birth. It’s the time to be empowered and know you can (and you will) do hard things. It’s the time to prepare for one step at a time, to be ready for the marathon that is labour and birth. It’s the time to train.

🩷It was such an amazing experience to look after Chelsea and her family throughout pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period. The journey was filled with support, trust, rapport and woman-centred care. Being at Chels birth was such a privilege but also a healing experience for her. Baby Bobby is so gorgeous and thriving! I’m so grateful to have been a part of this beautiful family’s lives.
