Happy International Women’s Day 💜

This year’s theme, Balance the Scales, reminds us that achieving true equality requires fairness, opportunity and action at every level. The campaign message Gain to Give encourages us to use our progress, platforms and privileges to uplift others and create meaningful change.

At Talk to Me Allied Health, we feel incredibly fortunate to work alongside so many talented, compassionate and dedicated women. Every day, they make a difference in the lives of our clients, families and community — and we are proud to stand beside them and each other.

Today we celebrate the achievements of women, reflect on the work still to be done, and commit to continuing to balance the scales — together.

Meet our fourth-year Speech Pathology student Sophie!

Sophie grew up locally in Timboon on a dairy farm and is currently completing her final year of Speech Pathology.

She loves how rewarding it is to make a meaningful difference in children’s communication and enjoys the creativity involved in making therapy engaging and fun.

Outside of uni, you’ll find her catching up with friends over coffee, swimming at the beach in summer, keeping active with running or netball, or relaxing with a good book.

At TTMAH, we’re passionate about supporting student clinical placements and work experience, particularly given the current shortages in recruiting, employing and retaining Allied Health staff across Colac and rural communities.

We’re so excited to have her as part of the team for term 1!
