It’s been a pretty hectic and emotional week for us handing over our practice to the owners. We take comfort out of knowing that Todd Clinics will do a superb job and in doing so give two young Chiropractors an opportunity to start their career and develop their craft.
We opened in 2017 with the intention of providing high quality chiropractic care to the local community, 4.5 years later I’m confident we’ve done just that. Looking through our system over the weekend, we’ve been lucky enough to care for 1594 different faces in that time and be consistently booked well ahead week in, week out.
I’ll certainly miss the time I was fortunate enough to spend getting to know each and every patient who walked into our clinic, as well as the rewarding feeling of having helped them achieve their health goal.
For those wondering why we’ve made this tough decision, unfortunately the last few years have seen a worsening of hand, wrist and back pain. This was something I expected to do for many more years. However, I’m certainly looking forward to giving them an opportunity to rest and heal.
A huge thank you to dad (Wayne) for the countless hours he has put in on the desk. He’s been massive and words don’t do that justice. By his own admission he’s also loved the time getting to know our patients as well as the regular banter. Mum (Bernie) and my sister Carly have also been a huge support throughout the duration of the business, whether that be helping on reception or washing towels, unwanted advice and advice asked for 😂. A thank you also to Monique, it’s been nice having another practitioner to work alongside. She’s a master at her craft and her booking sheet reflects that.
Secondly a massive thank you to Megs and Win. Megs has been a huge support throughout and has always backed me with whatever ideas I hatched ❤️.
My next step is back to uni to study a masters of primary teaching. 👨🏫 I’m also looking forward to spending more time with Megs, Win and our future bub. As for chiropractic, I’m still very passionate about it, so never say never.
As I said earlier, it’s not been lost on me how fortunate I’ve been to both experience business and experience the feeling of helping people feel better.
Looking forward to the next chapter!
❤️
