With the warmer weather and more time at the pool, gym or beach, fungal infections like tinea (athlete’s foot) and nail fungus are on the rise.

Common culprits of fungal infections:
• Walking barefoot in public showers
• Sharing shoes or socks
• Sweaty feet stuck in closed shoes all day

Keep your feet fresh & fungus-free:
✔ Wear thongs in communal showers
✔ Change socks daily
✔ Keep feet clean and dry
✔ Don’t share nail clippers or shoes/socks

When we think about skin checks and melanoma, most of us focus on our face, arms, and back - but did you know melanoma can appear on your feet and under your toenails too?

Because feet are often overlooked, melanomas here are more likely to go unnoticed until later stages. Early detection = better outcomes.

What to look for:
• Dark streaks under toenails
• New spots or moles between the toes
• Changes in existing freckles or marks
• Wounds that don’t heal
