You might have noticed something different recently with our SEWB team… we’ve adopted a philosophy at the service that we can do more together!
The team are thrilled to be able to support the school and our community with their homework club. The team will be there to provide social support, including helping these young adults (aka children) get home quickly and safely afterwards.

We’re excited to announce that our Homework Centre is up and running again at Condobolin High School.

CHS is partnering with the Social & Emotional Wellbeing Team at
Condobolin Aboriginal Health Service to provide extra support for our students. This includes a supportive space to complete schoolwork, access to teachers for help and transport home at the end of each session.

To our Monday and Tuesday Active Minds, Active Bodies participants - our trainer has advised that he's not available today and tomorrow, so you get this week off... but don't fret... we're adding a make up week to the end of the program.
If you decide to go to the gym anyway, make sure you take a photo, as we'll want evidence!

Congrats to Nicki Turner, CEO of AH&MRC of NSW , who was recognised as Aboriginal Women of the Year in NSW yesterday. Nicki is a staunch supporter of the role of ACCHOs and has enabled her team to work at a grass roots level improving community outcomes!
