What a night at the EWA Eventing Awards for Murray Eventing Inc!

We are so excited to celebrate two standout legends who received top recognition for our 2025 event. 💙🐎

🏅 Volunteer of the Event – Tom Tremlett

This award couldn’t be more deserved.
Tom dedicated countless hours to bringing our cross-country course to life — every fence, every take-off, every detail was a result of his unwavering hard work. His pride in what he creates and his willingness to always go above and beyond played a huge part in the success of our event. We are incredibly grateful for everything he does.

The definition of professionalism.
Ross takes on his veterinary role with exceptional care, calmness and efficiency — even in the toughest moments around the yards. He is knowledgeable, reliable and an absolute pleasure to work with. As our event vet every year since we started, his contribution is invaluable to the safety and success of our competitions.

We are so lucky to have these two incredible humans support our event year after year.

Tom has been part of the committee from day one and is the engine behind our iconic cross-country course. Ross continues to have our horses’ wellbeing at the heart of everything he does. 💙

A massive thank you to all our volunteers and officials who made our 2025 event so incredible.
We truly couldn’t do this without you.

As we start wrapping up another fantastic season, we’re already gearing up for a huge year ahead…

💥 In 2026, Murray Eventing Inc. is thrilled to announce we will be running FEI to 3★!

We’re incredibly proud to bring another FEI competition to the WA eventing community and can’t wait to showcase an even bigger, better event in 2026.

We’re now in full planning mode and are looking to secure our 2026 sponsors as we head into the new year.
We offer a range of opportunities including class sponsorship, jump sponsorship, and special awards — and if you have something specific in mind, we’re always happy to chat.

Just a few housekeeping notes before the fun kicks off this weekend 👇

🟣 First things first – Have fun, be respectful to your fellow riders, and stay safe! We’re here for a great day of training 🙌

💥 SHOWJUMPING

🟪 You can jump out of order – especially if you need to head to XC.
🟪 Please prioritise your rounds – we won’t be able to hold heights.
🟪 Walk the course during height changes.

💡 No assigned helper duties – but if you’re nearby and see a pole down or flags knocked over, we’d love an extra hand! 🙏

🌿 CROSS COUNTRY

🟥 Please be mindful of others – no hogging any section of the course.
🟥 No coaching allowed – let’s keep it fair for all.
🟥 Walk the course beforehand – it’s flagged but not numbered.
🟥 Check the colour tokens or writing on fences for height.
🟥 Only red flags used for jump direction.
🟥 Take it easy – we’ve had rain, so the footing may be soft.
🟥 King Splash 🌊 and the benches under the trees will not be in use due to safety/ground concerns.
🟥 Before heading out, get your name ticked off near the green shed/start box ✅
🟥 Once you’re done – check back in with us so we know you’re back safe.

If you fall, you must report to the medic at SJ before remounting. Safety first! 🚑

🚛 PARKING

✅ You can park near the clubhouse/front gate – but watch for soft grass!
✅ Larger rigs are best at the cross-country yards.
✅ Please clean up your yards – we’d really prefer not to do it for you 😅

The amazing Coffee Cabana Mobile Cafe will be there all day at SJ with coffee, hot food, cakes, snacks & more. Treat yourself – I’ll definitely be getting a chilli nacho fix! 😋

We’re so lucky to have Coffee Cabana Mobile Cafe joining us this Saturday for the Murray Eventing Inc Training Day!

They’ll be parked up at the Showjumping Arena all day keeping us warm, fed, and caffeinated 🐎💨

Expect the goods:
🔥 Beef & gravy rolls
🌶️ Chilli nachos
🥣 Soup
🍪 Cakes & cookies
• of course… COFFEE!

I know I’ll be stocking up on caffeine and taking home some chilli for dinner! 🙌

It’s honestly disheartening as a committee to be regularly asked for training opportunities on our grounds—only for them to be poorly supported when we make it happen.

🟢 Cross Country:
Get a full hour on course — no need for multiple entries!
⛔️ Coaching is not permitted.
🕒 Got a preferred time? Pop it in your entry!

🟡 Showjumping:
Starts from 9am (yep, XC can be done before SJ!)
Roughly 1-hour height blocks
🏇 Jump one full round per entry

🚑 Ambulance on site
🧹 Yards are free to use — please clean up after your horse!
🏕 Camping available Friday night (let us know if you want to stay Saturday too)

📍 At Murray Regional Equestrian Centre
📅 Date: Saturday 5th July

✨ What’s on offer:
💥 Showjumping – Running at official eventing heights (65cm–115cm)
Need higher or lower? Just email us 👉 murray.president@outlook.com and we’ll do our best to accommodate!

🕗 Cross Country – Book by the hour, starting from 8am
🕘 Showjumping – Starts at 9am with 65cm, moving up each hour
(Times may shift slightly depending on entry numbers)

🔁 Each horse can do 2 rounds at the same or consecutive heights

📝 Showjumping Rounds must be ridden like a competition round – but we’ll allow you to re-jump 1–2 fences if needed!

We’re keeping things flexible so more riders get the chance to train – and we’ll adjust the draw as needed to make it work.
