III - The Empress

Hi everyone!

Key words for this card are: Fertility, motherhood, abundance, nurturing, nature, femininity, productivity, success. Creative blocks, lack of self worth, dependence, neglect, stagnation.

This week is going to be very productive! The seeds you’ve planted, whether it be implementing things in the home or in the workplace, are about to bear fruit, and depending on how you have tended to your “crop”, your outcomes will be something to behold!

Pregnancy and motherhood are a focus this week, so there may be some exciting announcements or mama is going to be needed by her babies!

The Empress is asking you to take some time for self care… You need to nurture yourself as much as you do your loved ones.

Personally, I find The Empress an amazing card to remind ourselves that we can stand on our own two feet and achieve what we desire.

Major Arcana cards represent life events - major changes or outcomes, and The Empress is very much “as ye sow, so shall ye reap”. It’s time to harvest!

CARD FOR THE WEEK: 1-7 MAR 2026

5 of Swords

Hi everyone!

I missed last week’s card… I was very unwell last week!

Key words for this card are: Conflict, grudges, ego, empty victories, theft, defeat, betrayal, winning at all costs, and no-win situations. Resolution, return of that which was stolen, alignment, humility, being humbled, peace.

This week is going to be pretty wild… Some serious character exposures will be front and centre, and where you stand in that, is all on you. This is a week where there are no real winners if one party is going to be driven by ego, but there is opportunity for some form of resolution, if egos can be put aside for constructive communication.

If you’re being called out this week; this is the “pick your battles” moment… are you being called out unfairly, by someone who is trying to manipulate the narrative; or are you in need of a moment to reflect and account?

Something that has been taken from you (whether it be physical or figurative), will be returned this week.

The 5 of Swords is warning against ego-driven, hostile, or manipulative behavior, urging a reconsideration of whether the battle is worth fighting; because it may expose you, more than it will anyone else. It’s also a reminder to stay in your own lane… If you feel you need to involve yourself in someone’s conflict - make sure you have all sides of the story before taking a side.

Personally, this card is a reminder that you don’t have to respond to someone’s BS. Let them burn themselves out making a scene.

CARD FOR THE WEEK: 15-21 FEB 2026

Knight of Swords

Hi everyone!

Key words for this card are: Action, communication, honesty, logic, determination, fearlessness, ambitious, focused, and truth-seeking.
Impulsiveness, haste, aggression, cruelty, volatility; sharp, vindictive, blunt or tactless communication, ineffective scattered, unfocused, and burnt out.

This week, is an interesting one, as we navigate what we want to achieve and how we want to achieve it. Think things through in a logical sequence. Once you’ve set your mind to things, you will see quick action on what you want to achieve; however, acting without thinking can lead to mistakes and potentially hurting others in the process, while also burning yourself out.

Conversations may be had, and temperance is key here. If you are going to be cruel towards people, you also need to accept that there are consequences and you need to be ready to hold yourself to, or be held to, account. Remember that the word, once spoken, can never be taken back; so consider the effect you want to have on others when you communicate.

A great week for courses, thinking and acting on your next moves, and clearing the air!

The Knight of Swords is asking you to act, but take the bigger picture into account before you leap into things boots and all.

Personally, this card is both motivational and a reminder to watch out for arguments.

READINGS AT Rudi's Place
Hi everyone!

How are we in February already?!

We have a few changes afoot while I navigate estate admin and what 2026 looks like for me! There’s much going on behind the scenes!

I’ll be at rudisplaceesk this Thursday (12 Feb) from 9am til 4pm.

From March, I have a regular slot at Rudi’s Place on the first Wednesday of each month, and I’ll keep posting the dates in the lead up so you don’t miss out!

As always, bookings are encouraged, as spots fill fast; however, walk-ins are always most welcome!

CARD FOR THE WEEK: 8-14 FEB 2026

4 of Cups

Hi everyone!

I know, I missed last week’s card… I had a massive week.

Key words for this card are: Discontent, apathy, introspection, missed opportunities, and boredom. A shift in perspective, renewed interest, grabbing new opportunities, and coming out of a rut.

This week, you may find yourself struggling with apathy… things may not have turned out the way you’d hoped, leading up to this week; and you just want to run away. This week you need to push through those feelings so that you don’t miss a prime opportunity that is right in front of you. Absolutely feel the feelings, then turn your mind (and heart) to processing them and getting on with what you want to achieve.

Alternatively, you could find yourself actually coming out the other side of the struggle… Doors may now be opening for you, and this is your week to assess those opportunities!

The 4 of Cups is asking you to keep your eyes open for opportunities to grow.

Personally, this card reminds me of a Sun Tzu quote: “In the midst of chaos, there is also opportunity.” This quote really got me through some times that I was ready to throw in the towel, and reminded me to keep my eyes open.
