626 Therapeutic Services is a client-centred health professional service concerned with promoting health and well being through occupation and movment. The primary goal of occupational therapy is to enable people to participate in the activities of everyday life. Occupational therapists achieve this outcome by working with people and communities to enhance their ability to engage in the occupations they want to, need to, or are expected to do, or by modifying the occupation or the environment to better support their occupational engagement.
26 Occupational Therapy provides counselling services for mental health, behavioural and emotional conditions for people of all ages. We offer face-to-face services in our clinic or through our convenient mobile service where our clinician comes to you. Our counselling service offers a broad variety of benefits of NDIS participants and general referrals, including an improved ability for you to relate to family and friends, connect with your local community an denrigh your quality of life. There is strong evidence for the benefits of counselling, including those living with physical, psychosocial, neurological, sensory, cognitive and intellectial disibility. We provide therapeutic support such as:
Evidence-based psychological management and intervention
Counselling
NDIS Counselling
Treatment of mental health, behavioural and emotional conditions to help you develop and work towards your goals
Support with adjustment to challenges
Support around issues including anxiety, grief, loss, depression, self-esteem, motivation, goal setting, anger, social skills identity, interpersonal conflict and managing fatigue

Autumn is prime squash season. Between butternut squash and pumpkin everything (like this outstanding pumpkin spice latte), ‘tis the season for gourds. One that doesn’t get as much attention is acorn squash, but there are so many wonderful acorn squash recipes out there to try.

While you can sometimes find it at other times of the year, acorn squash’s peak season is in the fall, from October through December, when you can find it at farmers markets and local groceries quite inexpensively.

Choose ones that don’t have any marks or mold. Acorn squash will keep for about a month or so in a cool, dry storage place.
