Welcoming Dan's epic return to The Heart Gallery this evening, his thought provoking exhibition creates space for deep thinking about what it means to be human.
Our capacity for both Beauty & Strife. Love & Hate. Very relevant to current global affairs, it examines how we communicate our human-ness & how we might remember our innate ability to see beyond race, religion & disability.

We’re honoured to have Daniel Williams back again for his second inspiring Exhibition in The Heart Gallery this month. This time, showcasing a series of works to ignite our imagination & provoke discussion around Humanity.

“Speaking Humanity looks at the act of communicating across barriers of language, beliefs and culture. Each work references the human body in some way, through text or through visualisation of the body. Some translation is possible but often not enough. This encourages the viewer to find meaning in the representation of shared human experiences, life, love and family.  It asks whether humanity is united by what we say, or by what we recognise in one another before speech. I’m hoping to challenge some thoughts and assumptions about access, authority and comprehension and invite the viewer to try speaking humanity”.

This is a process of coming into oneself on these levels, activating numb spots into a full sense of self.
