HOW DO THEY WORK?
The primary mechanism is scent-based deterrence using natural essential oils. The core of both the bands and patches is the repellent substance citronella oil. Citronella is a plant-based oil known to have insect-repelling properties.

The bands and patches are designed to slowly release the fragrance of the citronella oil into the air around the wearer.

Mosquitoes and other biting insects are believed to dislike or be confused by the strong scent of the essential oil. The oil’s scent is thought to mask the natural human odours that attract mosquitoes, thereby making the wearer less appealing as a target.
