I have been asked multiple times to put a ❤️on my wall to raise awareness for breast cancer.
This is great, but I'd also like to offer something practical so here goes:
Yes, as the meme says, check your bo***es, but there are many more things you can be doing, don’t just check them… take care of them.
* Check the ingredients in your deodorant. We have very important lymph glands in those armpits and their job is to expel toxins, applying chemicals to the skin can make them have to work much harder. Perhaps find a natural brand, see if it works well for you. Have a day off from wearing any at all when you can! If your diet is good this goes a long way towards reducing smelling too bad anyway. If you are a bit pongy, your body is doing its job, it is expelling toxins!
* When you are relaxing at home take your bra off, those straps and wires can restrict the flow of the lymphatic fluid, which is working to remove toxins from your body. Have a break.
* If you consume animal products see if you can switch to the organic variety/read what you're buying, the less added hormones in your body the better - support your healthy endocrine system.
* If you have unresolved emotions, talk to someone you trust, or find some counselling and advice - choose simple, healthy relaxation/anxiety relieving strategies. Slowly build up a stress and anxiety relieving tool box for yourself - crack out those tools whenever you need them. Share things that you have found which work with others too - it's a nurturing positive feeling to help each other, and reminds you and me we aren't alone in life and daily struggles. Negative stressors/chronic anxiety can be toxic and exhausting too - grief can lead to dis-ease and depression.
* Drink lots of water, move your body, massage yourself (or get someone else to) and really invest in your health, it is the most important thing you have.
If this resonates with you and you wish to share please feel free to. X
