The Olio Bello story began with a vision when an extraordinary American couple fell in love with a rustic cattle farm, situated on undulating land with sweeping views, in Cowaramup, Margaret River. Seeing the opportunity to rehabilitate the land as a vibrant ecosystem, they began revegetating the 320 acre property and planted thousands of native trees and shrubs, introducing olives in 1992. Since then, 10,000 trees comprising 14 different varieties have been planted. Our first olives were harvested in 1998, and since then, Olio Bello has steadily gained industry recognition, becoming one of the most awarded small producers of organic extra virgin olive oil in Australia. Today, Olio Bello is proudly owned by a local group of West Australians and offers a dynamic Cafe and tasting room, farm shop, gourmet and beauty products, luxury glamping accommodation and weddings. Every year, we welcome thousands of visitors from around the world who learn about our commitment to sustainable farming practices and the production of our oils, gourmet and beauty products. Sure to impress your friends and family, our Vanilla Bean Ice-Cream with Fresh Berries and Mandarin Pressed Oil - is quick and effortless and strikes the perfect balance between creaminess and zesty flavour. Pure la Dolce Vita in a glass!
To prepare: simply take a glass or creative serving bowl, add locally made Vanilla Bean ice-Cream (or your favourite gelato) top with fresh raspberries and finish with a generous drizzle of zesty Mandarin Oil (or your favourite Olio Bello Citrus Pressed Oil.). Sometimes, out of sadness, stillness and reflection - magic happens! A very special gathering of Olio Bello staff (spanning over 20 years)took place at the farm, recently - to share memories of a cherished friend and colleague 'Leith Harry' and to provide support for her husband Steve and the extended Olio Bello family. Under the olive trees- General Managers, Administration, Cafe and Production Staff gathered to share good food, wine, conversation and olive oil - along with reminiscing about treasured moments and good times spent together at the farm! As the day came to a close and a brief pause was taken to remember those special 'trailblazing' team members, sadly lost - everyone realised that in that moment, the Olio Bello Alumni Club had just been founded! An annual get together and catch-up under the olive trees - for everyone who has contributed to the farm's journey and success, along the way! How blessed we are to have such a fantastic team 'Past and Present' who fly the 'Olio' flag! Here's cheers to Adrian, Leith and future Alumni gatherings. Saluti. 🍷

Today, they take on an even brighter role for Lunar New Year - symbolising prosperity, happiness and good fortune, for all. The farm turned into a fabulous shade of 'rose' pink for Valentine's Day yesterday, as Andrea and his talented Kitchen team created the ultimate 'Piatto del Giorno': a Beetroot Capelleti filled with Chilli Crab and Potatoes, served with Shark Bay Clams & cherry tomatoes. Hand made with love from scratch and drizzled with 'Romanza' Olive Oil - the passion and labour of love in this dish - is a romantic novella in itself! It was an early start for the team in the vineyard this morning, as the nets came off the 'Chardonnay' grapes and vintage 2026 was underway. The ‘pick commenced at first light and thanks to the abundant Marri blossoms currently flowering across the region, there was little, if any ‘silvereye’ bird damage. The conditions were perfect all around and it was a day of smooth sailing for the pickers! The fruit integrity looks ideal. and things are looking good for our Cabernet harvest, in the weeks ahead. Planted in 2020, this year marks our third vintage at the farm. Stay tuned for more updates on all things 'Olio Bello' wine! Well done to all of the Olio Bello team and our vintage pickers.
