Blairlogie Performing Arts Proudly Presents their 2025 production - 🌈The Wonderful Wizard of North Road 🧙‍♂️

This year the Performing Arts group has had to reschedule and change dates and locations for the performance due to circumstances beyond our control.
Unfortunately this means there will be no matinee performance, instead just one night time show only.

🥇Tri-State Games are here again and the team have headed to beautiful Portland to compete in their chosen events. The event is Australia's largest grassroots sporting event for people with disabilities, featuring indoor sports, aquatics, and track and field events. In addition to the sports, the games include a opening ceremony with a street parade.

The Blairlogie Bears have geared up in their new uniforms and are all set for the opening ceremony followed by indoor sports.

The new uniforms were made possible thanks to the generous support of a small grant from the City of Casey, purchases of our dried flower arrangements, and a donation from TDJ Australia.
These contributions helped us fund the new uniforms, artwork, and a brand-new banner.

A huge thank you to our amazing staff — Bill, Nelson, and Marie — for their hard work and dedication in getting the team ready.

The month formerly known as November is upon us and the Mo is calling! Last year we raised an amazing $755 for Movember, who is the leading global charity changing the face of men’s health. They exist to stop men dying too young by tackling some of the most complex health issues facing men today – mental health, suicide, prostate and testicular cancer.

The razors are down, the Mo’s are sprouting, and things are getting hairy! 🥸
We’re growing and moving for a cause — raising funds for men’s health, mental wellbeing, and cancer research.

👨‍🍳Celebrating World Food Week

Thank you to all who shared in the themes of World Food Week last week, whether by donating food items or money, supporting your clients to engage in new environments, or helping to commence the new 'Spare Shares' initiative at 685 North Road.

All photos sent through from staff were very much appreciated. There were so many heartwarming moments captured.

Here's a summary of the week:

'Where Else?' cooking groups challenge
It was great to see clients exploring new environments like MarketPlace Fresh or Peninsula Organics to complete their shopping for ingredients prior to cooking. The Monday Intermediate Cooking group also got their hands dirty harvesting their ingredients from the Herb Gardens at 675 North Road.

'Spare Shares'
Thank you to Brendan, Isabella, Angus, Inga and also Sharon for preparing the first batch of 'Spare Shares' to be kept in the client kitchen freezer at 685 North Road. These spare portions are intended to provide accessible backup lunch meals for clients who may have forgotten to bring lunch from home. The cooking group have more in store this week.

Community Access visit to Caldermeade Farm
On Friday, Community Access Group 1 paid a visit to Caldermeade Farm, a working dairy farm where visitors get a glimpse into some of the agricultural processes. Trent, Dylan, David, Jason, Jarrod and Jose all had a great time with Patrick and Poonam, and the group especially enjoyed getting to see some of the farm animals up close.

Today the Client Committee assisted with the donations to Oz Harvest with loading the truck and who could refuse a photo opportunity.

A fantastic week and a great effort supporting a great cause! 💚
