Big news, wonderful people! Asha Yoga is now officially recognised as a Registered Yoga School (RYS) with Yoga Alliance!
This milestone honours the depth, integrity, and heart of our 200hr Teacher Training program - and we’re just getting started.

We’re currently cultivating dates for our next round of trainees, a group of aligned individuals ready to deepen their practice, explore transformation, and step into the art of teaching.

✨ The Retreat That Upgraded Itself ✨

Okay Asha community… a little behind-the-scenes story.

Our original Hepburn Springs venue had to cancel due to renovation issues. I’ll be honest I was disappointed. We had all mentally locked in the dates, and I had already pictured us there.

But instead of spiralling… I paused. I prayed. I trusted.

And something even better came our way.

We’ve secured a new venue in Hepburn Springs, and it is an absolute upgrade.

Think:

✨ Beautiful, more luxurious rooms
✨ Boutique country-home energy
✨ On-site sauna (yes, anytime all weekend 😌)
✨ Walking distance to the iconic Hepburn Bathhouse & Spa
✨ AND a hot springs excursion included on our final day

Men’s Beginner Yoga – 6 Week Series
Fridays 7:30am | Starting March 20

We’re creating a space just for the guys.

This 6-week beginner series is designed for men who are:
✔️ New to yoga
✔️ Feeling tight or stiff
✔️ Returning from injury
✔️ Wanting to build strength & mobility
✔️ Curious but not sure where to start

Expect practical, no-frills movement focused on hips, hamstrings, shoulders, core strength and simple breathwork to manage stress.

You don’t need to be flexible.
You don’t need experience.
You just need to start.

💛 COMMUNITY CLASS – $10 per session

This series is offered at a reduced rate as part of a community initiative by one of our recent 200hr YTT graduates as she builds her experience and hours. Because of this, it’s not included in memberships or passes.

Our heart behind it?
To make yoga more accessible for men in our local community and create a comfortable entry point.

If it fills, we’d love to add a permanent men’s class to the timetable.

So excited to introduce you to our newest Asha Yoga teacher… 🤍

Micaela is a recent graduate of our 200hr YTT and is now teaching our 75min Slow Flow & Yin every Sunday.

Micaela discovered yoga as a teenager and was instantly hooked on the way it made her feel, a grounding contrast to the demands of a professional netball career. Since then, yoga has nurtured and strengthened her through three healthy pregnancies and now life as a mum to three young boys.

A qualified primary teacher and lover of movement, she brings warmth, steadiness and thoughtfulness to every class. I’m personally loving her fresh energy and her genuine enthusiasm to keep learning and growing, it’s such a gift to witness.

If you haven’t met her yet, come along this Sunday and experience her beautiful Slow Flow & Yin. Let’s give her a big Asha welcome 🤍

Solar Plexus Chakra focus 🔥

This sequence was all about stoking your inner fire, building heat, confidence and clarity from the inside out.

The solar plexus (Manipura) is the centre of:
• personal power
• self-belief
• healthy boundaries
• taking aligned action

When it’s balanced, we move through life with courage and conviction. When it’s depleted, we doubt, hesitate, and shrink.

This flow worked into the core, twists and strong standing shapes to awaken that steady, grounded fire. not burnout… but empowered energy.

I’ve spent the weekend away on retreat myself, this time as a student and I’m feeling deeply reminded of the power of stepping out of routine.

This incredible group stepped into the unknown with courage, curiosity, and a deep commitment to growth. Over the past months, they’ve explored anatomy, philosophy, meditation, sequencing, and the art of holding space, while also doing the brave inner work that true yoga invites.

You chose to stretch beyond comfort, to lead, to listen, and to grow. Your dedication, vulnerability, and community spirit have been inspiring to witness. We are so proud of you and can’t wait to see the ripple effect of your teaching in the world. 💛

Good news though- the studio will be beautifully cool thanks to our two split systems working their magic ❄️✨
So if you’re looking to escape the heat, move your body gently, breathe deeply, and not melt into the couch… class is the place to be.

Come stretch, slow down your nervous system, and enjoy a little oasis from the heat 🌿

We had a special guest in yin last night! Meet Salty, the most beautiful greyhound who demonstrated the art of stillness and being present in the moment for us to learn from 💕

When the Divine knows you might just need some puppy cuddles 🙏 thanks Christie for bringing Salty!

Also I was today years old when I learned the greyhounds aren’t so great at stairs 🤣 to the rescue to carry Salty back down!!

As we step into a brand new year, we’re filled with gratitude for this beautiful community and the way you continue to show up, with curiosity, courage, and care for yourselves and one another.

A new year doesn’t ask us to become someone different… just to return a little more fully to who we already are. To breathe, to move, to rest, and to begin again.

🌿 We’re reopening the studio tomorrow — Sunday January 4th for Slow Flow & Yin 75min to start the new year! 🌿

We can’t wait to roll out the mats, reconnect, and begin the year together in presence and intention.
