💪🏉 Ladies Who Play Rugby… Let’s Talk Pelvic Floor Health

Did you know nearly 1 in 2 female athletes in high-impact sports like rugby experience leaking or pelvic pressure during games and training?

Even young, strong, never-had-kids players can struggle — because sprinting, bracing, tackling and jumping all stress the pelvic floor.

🧬 Science shows:

Up to 80% of women in contact sports report leaking

It’s common but not normal — and it is treatable

✨ At Davlin Health, we offer the Emsella Chair – a non-invasive, fully clothed treatment that strengthens your pelvic floor while you sit and relax.

✅ No downtime
✅ No embarrassment
✅ Back on the field stronger and drier

Let's talk openly about pelvic floor health and keep you focused on the game — not the leaks.

Take a Deep Breath – It’s More Powerful Than You Think!

Feeling stressed, anxious, or experiencing bladder leakage?

Try this simple, research-backed deep breathing technique recommended by the North American Menopause Society:
✨ Sit upright, hands on your belly
✨ Inhale through your nose for 4 counts, feel your belly rise
✨ Hold for 1 second
✨ Exhale slowly through your mouth for 4 counts, belly falls
✨ Repeat 5–10 times

🌙 Bonus: Do it before bed or in child’s pose to activate your vagus nerve, ease into a relaxed state, and support your pelvic floor health.

Double the benefits: ✨ Less stress + 💪 better bladder control = WIN-WIN-WIN!

Did you know your pelvic floor and breathing are directly connected?

Every time you inhale, your diaphragm moves down...and so does your pelvic floor. When you exhale, both move back up. This synchronised movement helps improve core strength and stability, it prevents unnecessary pelvic floor tension and supports bladder control.

But here’s the catch: Chronic shallow breathing (from stress, poor posture, or even habit) can tighten and weaken the pelvic floor over time.

That’s why proper pelvic floor exercises - and treatments like the BTL Emsella Chair - don’t just focus on "squeezing" muscles, but also on relaxing and coordinating them with your breath.

Think your pelvic floor could use a tune-up? Book a session at Davlin Health today!

Did you know: a clinical trial found that 95% of people who used the BTL Emsella Chair reported improved bladder control?

This non-invasive, pain-free treatment is designed to strengthen your pelvic floor muscles - the ones responsible for holding everything in place.

Think you might need it? Ask yourself:
✔️ Do you rush to the bathroom more than you'd like?
✔️ Do you leak a little when sneezing, coughing, or laughing?
✔️ Have you had a baby or noticed changes with age?

30 minutes in the chair = 12,000 Kegels!

If your bladder is running your life, let’s get it back in control.

Curious about the BTL Emsella Chair but not sure what to expect? Here’s what happens when you take a seat!

🔹 Step 1: Sit fully clothed on the chair - no need to undress or feel uncomfortable.
🔹 Step 2: The chair sends gentle electromagnetic pulses to your pelvic floor - this activates the muscles just like a Kegel exercise!
🔹 Step 3: You might feel a tingling sensation (totally normal!) but no pain.
🔹 Step 4: In just 30 minutes, you’ve done the equivalent of 12,000 Kegels!

That’s it! No downtime, no effort, just stronger pelvic floor muscles in a fraction of the time.

If you’ve been putting this off, now’s the time to book your session at Davlin Health!

12,000 Kegels without lifting a finger?! Yes, really. That’s what happens when you sit on the BTL Emsella Chair for just 30 minutes!

How does it work? The chair uses high-intensity electromagnetic waves (HIFEM) to stimulate and strengthen your pelvic floor muscles, helping with bladder control, core stability, and even intimacy.

The Emsella chair is completely non-invasive. There's no downtime. Just sit back, relax, and let the chair do the work while your pelvic floor muscles get a workout.

If your pelvic floor could use a little TLC, maybe it’s time to take a seat.

💩 What Your Poo Says About You! 💩

Ever wondered what your stool is trying to tell you? Your bowel movements are one of the best indicators of your gut health, hydration, and diet. The shape, texture, and consistency of your stool can reveal a lot about how well your digestive system is functioning.

👉 Hard, dry stools? You might need more water and fibre in your diet.

👉 Soft, well-formed stools? Congrats! Your gut is happy. Keep up the balanced diet and hydration.

👉 Loose or watery stools? This could be a sign of food intolerances, stress, or an imbalance in gut bacteria. Try reducing processed foods, managing stress, and considering probiotics.

At Davlin Health, we believe that good digestion is the foundation of overall well-being. If you’re struggling with bloating, constipation, or discomfort which is affecting your pelvic floor, we can help.

📍 Book a session today and let’s get your pelvic floor and gut feeling great!

Ever noticed that as the weather cools down, your trips to the bathroom go way up?

You’re not imagining it! Here’s why colder nights could mean even more late-night dashes to the loo -especially if you have a weak pelvic floor!

The Science Behind It:
When temperatures drop, your body reduces blood flow to the skin to conserve heat, directing more fluid to your core. Your kidneys respond by producing more urine. This is called cold diuresis.

What This Means for Your Bladder:
- More urine production = more frequent trips to the toilet.
- If you already wake up multiple times at night, colder nights could make it worse.
- A weakened pelvic floor may struggle to hold in urine, leading to urgency and even leakage.

What Can You Do?
✅ Keep warm - layering up can reduce the body’s response to the cold.
✅ Reduce fluids before bed (but stay hydrated during the day!).
✅ Strengthen your pelvic floor muscles to improve bladder control - this is where the BTL Emsella Chair can help!

If cold weather has you running to the bathroom more than usual, your pelvic floor may need some attention. Book a session at Davlin Health and stay in control this Autumn!

🌟 Lift Smart for a Stronger You! 💪✨

Hey gym goers, as you gear up for your next workout, we want to remind you about the importance of lifting safely. While hitting the gym and staying active is fantastic for your health, doing too much heavy lifting can negatively affect your pelvic floor.

Your pelvic floor plays a vital role in core stability, bladder control, and overall wellness. Straining with heavy weights can lead to discomfort and potential issues down the line. 😳

Here are a few tips to ensure you’re exercising safely:
1. Prioritize Proper Form: Focus on mastering your technique before increasing the weight.
2. Diversify Your Routine: Incorporate lighter weights, resistance bands, and bodyweight exercises to build strength without excess strain.
3. Tune In to Your Body: If you feel any discomfort, don’t hesitate to adjust your workout.

Exercise is essential, but let’s make sure we’re doing it in a way that supports our overall health!

Stay strong and lift smart! 💖🏃‍♀️
