Important Announcement: Closure of Culcairn Medical Practice

We regret to inform our valued patients that Culcairn Medical Practice will permanently close. Due to unforeseen circumstances, our lease for the building we operate from will not be renewed.
The building owner has informed us that continuing our lease is no longer financially viable for him, and he has other plans for the property. Unfortunately for us there are no viable alternative places within the community to operate from.

We understand this news may cause concern. We will assist each patient in transferring their care to a practice of their choice, free of charge.

Telehealth services will continue beyond our physical closure for existing patients with chronic or serious health conditions until they find a new doctor. Further details about this service and its duration will be provided on a case-by-case basis.

Onsite services from 23 Balfour Street will end 30th September.
We appreciate your understanding and support during this challenging time.

🎄 Christmas Closure Update 🎄

As we embrace the holiday spirit, we wanted to keep you informed about our schedule. We're open today and Thursday this week, so if you need any last-minute scripts or assistance, please book now.

Please note that our onsite services will resume on January 4, 2024. In the meantime, starting from January 2, 2024, telehealth consultations can be arranged through our Lockhart office.

All adults can now get a booster if it's been 6 months since their last dose or COVID-19 infection, whichever was most recent.

People aged 2 months or older who live or routinely work in Hume Shire AND Spend significant time outdoors (four hours per day) are eligible to get the JE vaccine.
Please call us to book your appointment. Our next vaccine clinic is this thursday.

Japanese Encephalitis (J.E)
If you live in Lockhart or Culcairn, are aged 50 years or older and spend at least 4 hours a day outside you are eligible for the Japanese encephalitis vaccine. Given the extensive rain the risk in this area to contract J.E is high. Infection can be serious/life threatening in some people. If you are eligible, please give us a call at the Lockhart Practice 026925249 and arrange your immunisation now.
