Congratulations to Beth Eslick who has been appointed as our Practice Manager.

Beth has worked previously in our reception team and has been acting in the role while Jasmin has been on maternity leave.

We welcome Beth in her new role. She brings a wealth of knowledge and skills to the role. You will still see Beth providing support
at reception at times.

We will be running a Flu Vaccination Clinic on Wednesday 15th April from 9am-12pm. This clinic will be for patients 65years and older, children under 5 years old.
This clinic will also be for patients who have a chronic illness e.g. Heart Disease, Cancer, Asthma and Diabetes.
Please call 6295 1460 to secure for vaccination.

IMPORTANT ANNOUCEMENT
Effective from today 1st April 2026, Cygnet Family Practice will be participating in the Australian Governments Bulk Billed Programe. This will mean that most of your visits with your regular General Practitioner will be bulked billed.

We hope that this change will help all our patients with accessing healthcare.

Some services are non-eligible.

Farewell but not goodbye... Jasmin Boulter

Our practice manager Jasmin has been on 12 months maternity leave and
has decided to be a fulltime mother.

Jasmin supported our team behind the scenes, was an exceptional practice manager
and respected team member.

We are excited for Jasmin and wish her well in her new role.

Our books are closed until further notice. We are happy to still be able to offer appointments in our Urgent and After- Hours Service every Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Pertussis is usually called ‘whooping cough’. It spreads very easily from one person to another through the air, like a cold. When someone who already has the disease coughs or sneezes, the pertussis germs float through the air on tiny droplets. If a baby breathes in those droplets, they can catch pertussis, too. Pertussis irritates the airways, which causes long coughing fits that can be very severe. Small babies can die from whooping cough.

Hobart Pathology Rumors:
There have been recent rumors that Hobart Pathology is no longer operating out of Cygnet Family Practice. We would like to let all our patients and the community know that Hobart Pathology is still offered here, however our Hobart Pathology nurse Vicky has been on leave and will return this Friday 20th February.
