We’ve been quiet for a while and what better time to come back than International Women’s Day. Sending huge kudos to all the women achieving awesome things - from raising families to pursuing careers and everything in between. What you do is important and we think you’re amazing!!

We are a social species and spending time with others is vital to our cognitive health.

Isolation increases our chances of developing conditions like alzheimers by 50%. (Info source - Limitless by Chris Hemsworth on Disney)

Get out, be with people, change your habits, learn and do new things, meditate, be in nature - all of these things can increase your brain health.

What can you do heading into a new year to help be healthier in more than just your body?

Reset Psychology will be walking the talk and taking some time for connection, play and self-care over Christmas. We will be closed 23rd December and back on board, refreshed and revitalised on January 10th.

We would like to thank everyone who has supported us in 2022 and wish everyone a time of peace, joy and health over the holidays and into 2023.

As we move towards the end of the year, it’s important to acknowledge that while joyous for parts, it can also busy and stressful.

Dr Diane Harner - Counselling and Neurotherapy has created this amazing advent calendar with a difference for December, to help through this busy time and start to set up for 2023. What a generous thing for her to share.

We plan to work through this here at Reset Psychology - we would love to hear how it goes if you play along at home too 🙂

Celebrating Ausmusic T-shirt day with my latest The Whitlams t-shirt.

Music supports us in so many ways - we can find understanding and a sense of connection in the lyrics, we can find solace in a melody, we can feel the endorphins after bopping around to a good beat or our fave song, and can find social resonance at a concert (or a Pub Choir )

We need to support our local industry - whether that’s the huge names, or local up and coming bands like Tailor Made Rejects.

What’s your favourite music memory.

Thank you James Clear - love this...

"One of the common trappings of success is overproducing.
Companies make money and rapidly expand their product line. Authors become popular and churn out books at a faster clip.
Scale can empower, but it can also dilute. Something is lost when quantity is valued over quality.
You have to maintain your standards even when all the forces around you seem to be calling for growth. Push back against more, more, more and remain committed to better, better, better."

And thanks for the pic BOSS multisport of us trying to be better ;)

Today is the start of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Please remember that breast cancer can present in both women and men, so please take time to do a self check, head to your GP for a check up, or organise to get to a screening where appropriate.
